Chapter 67 - Revenge 66: Hes Not Here (2/2)

Lannie got out from her father's grip and gesture Anna to sit down. As both of them sat down Lannie just realize that Anna is holding a box. ”What's in it?” Lannie asked.

”Cake,” Anna said as she let Lannie took the box in her hands.

Lannie opened the box and she saw a well-made cake and the smell is good too; she's betting that this cake will taste good too. ”Where did you buy it?” She asked with a curious look.

”I-I made it.” Anna is actually proud of that cake in Lannie's hands. Out of all the cakes that she made yesterday that is the only cake that's perfect and the rest was all burn or not bake well. The only thing that Anna is not sure of is the taste of the cake.

”You made it?” Lannie asked making sure she didn't mishear it. Anna nodded and Lannie knows that Anna is not the type of a person that would take credit for someone's work so she immediately believed Anna. Suddenly Lannie remembers Anna's reason for being here and a huge smile appeared in her face. ”Is this for my brother?”

”Well... Yes, it's a thank you cake.” After Anna said this her eyes wonder searching for the person she's supposed to say thanks to.

Lannie noticed Anna's eyes were wandering around and knew it right away that she's searching for her brother. ”I'm sorry Anna, my brother not is here yet and I don't know what time or day he will be back. B-but, don't worry I'll make sure that my brother will receive your hand-made cake.” Even though Lannie is saying this in a sorry tone but deep inside of her she's burning in anger and disappointment. Her brother really did this on purpose on her and she's gonna make him pay for it.

When Anna heard that she was quite pleased but at the same time she a big disappointment in her heart. She didn't realize it yet but deep inside she really wants to see Kyle again and that's a big problem that Anna needs to figure it out to herself in the near future. ”N-no, it's fine. Maybe he's busy.”

Time passes by Kyle is still not home yet and this only made Lannie angrier and angrier as the time passes. Her brother totally ruined her plan for Anna's visit and he's gonna for it.

”I should get going now. I have a date with my mom and brother.” Anna said as she looks at the time on her phone. Even though Kyle is not present Anna had a good time getting along with Lannie and her parents. And for her, the time she spent here didn't go to waste, she might not have seen Kyle today but she got this feeling that he will be seeing him again soon.
