Chapter 9 - Revenge 8: Grandfather’s Birthday Party (4) (1/2)

When came back she saw Rebecca stumbling on her feet. The drug is already taking effect on her. Seeing Rebecca bumping into the table full of foods and made a ton of mess out of it, Anna couldn't help but feel great about it.

”ARE YOU BLIND?! LOOK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY DRESS!” A woman in her late 20's angrily said to Rebecca. There was a stain in her dress that can measure up exactly the same size as Anna's hands. Rebecca scan the woman in front of her, she looked at her up and down.

The woman became more furious when she saw how Rebecca smirk at her and not even saying sorry to her. ”Psh! Your dress? I bet you bought that dress in a third-rate store, hmm...?” The woman became redder in anger, she couldn't believe that Rebecca is telling such a lie. Everyone at the party knows in just one glance that this dress is designed by Alfonso Dreyar's rival in the fashion industry Catelyn Rider.

Rebecca knows that fact but she couldn't help herself but feel jealous of the dress, that's why she had said something she shouldn't have. In fact, her dress was the third-rate one, Rebecca had to buy it at the cheapest price as possible just to get in the party. Rebecca's dress looked like it came from a high-rate brand and fooled everyone except for Anna. She blamed Anna that she got no proper dress for this luxurious party if Anna didn't leave her and bought a proper dress for her she wouldn't be insecure in the woman in front of her.

The woman was about to slap Rebecca, but someone had stopped her. ”You people dare to make such a scene in my party?!” An angry old man shouted at the two ladies, the woman stood there frozen while Rebecca couldn't react she's really dizzy don't know what's happening to her. The elder Coleman looked at the Rebecca he recognizes her, he remembers that Rebecca is Anna's only friend.

”Grandfather, I'm sorry for letting my friend make such sight on your birthday.” Anna felt disgusted by the words that she spouted. ”I'll take her out grandfather, please excuse me.” Anna's grandfather just said nothing, and she takes it as a yes from him.

She was about to touch Rebecca to help her stand properly, but Rebecca just pushed her away. Anna almost falls and it's a good thing that there was someone with sturdy arms that prevent her from falling.

Aaron and his grandfather's faces dimmed when they saw whose sturdy arms helped Anna. On the other hand, Kyle's father is smiling widely like an idiot, feeling happy about himself that his son is making a move.

”Are you alright?” A hoarse voice lingered in Anna's ear and she felt shivers in her spine. When she turned her head around, his face was close to her and she was shocked but she couldn't take her eyes off him. His face was God-like up close she didn't realize it up until now. Both of them were staring in each other's eyes, Anna felt that his eyes were sucking her in and so is Kyle he felt the same way.

When Anna heard Rebecca growled that's when she realized that she's still in Kyle's embrace. She broke the stare and quickly stood up, Kyle saw her cheeks flushed from embarrassment. ”Y-yes I'm alright. Thank you.” Kyle just nodded and turned his back on them then walked towards his father's side. He could just feel the glares of Anna's brother and grandfather, but he didn't pay much attention to it and just walked. When he reached his father's side he could just roll his eyes inwardly when he saw his father's wide grin.

Rebecca saw it all and she couldn't help but feel much more furious than she already was. She pointed a finger in Anna's direction and yell, ”You! You're supposed to be humiliated here! Not me! You're supposed to be drugged but why are you so fine?! I personally put the drug on your drink earlier and I saw you drink it! But why are you fine?!” As Rebecca said all those words she swaying back and forth and even tripped herself. Anna just wished that she should have her phone in her hand right now so she could take a video of Rebecca revealing her intention to the public.

Anna's grandfather heard what Rebecca just said to his granddaughter. 'Drugged? My granddaughter was supposed to be drugged?! She put a drug in my granddaughter's drink?!' His blood boils in anger and he stared daggers at Rebecca's direction. He walked in and slapped Rebecca's face so hard that it silences the whole venue and it echoed throughout.

Rebecca fell on the floor again and she felt extreme pain on her left cheek. Before she could say something elder Coleman already called the security to take Rebecca out of the venue.
