Maybe these employees were too conceited to admit it and as the rumors flew that the two of them didn't get along with each other because of the power struggle they started to reject her in a sub-conscious level, no reason was required for such behaviour, they hated her because she was too perfect, that a rich heiress was dragged down from her pedestal, they were happy about it...man is rational but envy is not, who genuinely liked a person born with a golden spoon, right?

They were happy to follow the CEO, who at least got this position from scratch and through hard work, if asked, they will say that it's because it's him, they support him and hence act against her but was it really true?

No!

They were just glad and happy at someone's downfall and used 'him' as an excuse for it...actually, aren't we all just like that?

We call ourselves righteous people but when we see someone suffer we never try to help them, we act as if, they deserved such outcome because of incompetence and other such 'righteous' words.

We call ourselves fans but when we see a celebrity drowned in a scandal or such, we never try to find the reason first, what we do is, to go and curse at them anonymously without trying to know anything.

We say that we followed the trend and went with the flow but deep down we know that it's because we like to hit someone when they are down...we hate shining things when we can't be them, it's human nature and called crab-mentality, we can't go up, we won't let you go up!! ha-ha

These people were the same, they went with the 'flow', knowing full well that it was them who started this flow while the facts said otherwise.

The CEO acknowledged her for her abilities by giving her the position of project director-cum-supervisor, the rumors said otherwise but they were without basis; the CEO was not the kind of person to use his power, to give an incompetent person a position with power, still, they liked to think otherwise.

But was Meilin someone who followed the flow?

Was she someone would stay down because of some incompetent bugs in her path?

No, she was not!!

She was an abnormality in this world, she didn't follow trend nor the norms of society...

She wasn't scared to defy orders set by the society, as long as, it had her and her XuanXuan's interest.

She was a real phoenix and the only being who was comparable to the dragon...she would rise from her ashes no matter the times she was burned!!

She slapped them with her achievements, she was given absolute rights over her employees which showed the importance she held in the heart of the CEO.

He never questioned her, he trusted her and depended upon her and only her.

There was a tacit understanding between the two, that mortals like them, could never dream of having.

She was flawless and nothing like a fallen Empress, they made her out to be and facts proved that he was proud of her...they were very compatible and complemented each other.

When they stood together, it was like they lived in a world of there own and not a soul could disturb them.

That receptionist and many other such employees with similar dreams woke up from them because of her.

With Qin Meilin beside Qin ZiXuan only if you are perfect then only could you present yourself between them, otherwise it is better to face reality.

What else could they do?

She was too perfect to find a flaw, she was respected by him and they were just mere employees.

Nothing they thought of, mattered!

They were sub-consciously afraid of her and the influence from the 'external' factors fueling them didn't them any good too.

The receptionists came out of her own world when the lady before them thanked her and walked away.

This lady, every time she came by, she would always greet them politely, not like that 'certain' someone who treated everyone like thin air.

She would always ask for permission before visiting the CEO even though she was not required to, after all, they were ordered to let her in any time she came by, though directly not to the CEO's office floor, still, she was allowed up to the VIP waiting rooms.

Both Qin Meilin and this young woman had the natural flair and elegance which was ingrained in their body and soul, they were not people who these 'normal' people could ever think of attaining, they exuded royalty and elegance which was reserved only for the ones at the top.

But this lady was very different from Qin Meilin too.

Qin Meilin was someone, who always lived in her own world as an aloof, immortal ice-beauty. The nobility in her bones made her look distant and unattainable altogether....
