It took some time but Qin Meilin hypnotised herself into thinking that it was his usual way of showing 'love' and ignored it, well, at least for the time being....
When the two re-entered the lounge, Feng Jiajie was already gone, he was probably giving the old couple some personal space.
It seems the time she gave them was enough for them to reconcile, well, it must have been that their grandfather took a step back but seeing that the corner of Xia Jingyi's eyes were slightly red, she must have apologised too and in a rare moment, must have acknowledged her wrong doings.
She was now giggling and telling Qin Mo about her adventures as Qin Mo was just smiling at her dotingly, no matter what, as long as, she was beside him, there was nothing Qin Mo couldn't do, she was his life and her smile his heart!
Watching the old couple and the surrounding pink air around them, Qin Meilin was happy for them.
She had been a bit irked since this morning because of the awkward air around her family so, now that everything was solved, as usual when inside the mansion, her lips were slightly raised up and her eyes warmed up, in contrast to the frosty look she had kept in front of them since this morning.
As long as her family was happy, there is nothing in this world she wouldn't dare to do to keep it as so.
She walked to them with the tray having the tea set and daifukus in her hands...
..and naturally missed the longing in the eyes of the man beside her.
Qin ZiXuan was also happy for the couple no doubt,... but-----
Somewhere in the corner of his heart, he was very envious of the old couple.
They could openly show their PDA while he had to do it discreetly, they were officially together while he could not even tell a soul that she was 'his woman', not even to his woman herself.
'ah! ah! So envious'....
He got out of his reverie when he heard his grandmother excitingly call her husband-
”Momo!!”
Yes, that's right. This is how she referred to her husband!
Why else do you think the ruthless general was head over heels with this spoiled princess?!!
SHE WAS NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING (Well, except Qin Meilin...haha
)..even in those years back then, she was free-willed like this; except for her age, nothing much had changed in her!!
As the years passed by and the world changed rapidly, it was very assuring that someone beside you has not changed at all, that someone beside you was still the same..in their old age, it was indeed very reassuring.
Their feelings for each other has not changed and if anything at all, it has deepened with years of companionship.
