Chapter 105 - It Doesnt Count If Its Dark (1/2)

They separated as they reached the surface of the water. Although they had locked lips for the few seconds it took to get from the bottom to the top, there was nothing else on top of that. It was simply meant to help Laz breathe.

That said, it wasn't like there was no reaction from Kat and Laz. Kat was showing a little red on her cheeks with the blush extending down to her chest. That might have been caused by more than just the kiss however since Laz had gotten a bit stiff during the exchange and therefore caused a bit of perverted rubbing to take place. Not that either of them could help it.

After a few minutes of deep breaths and trying to regain their calm, Laz finally spoke up.

”How long was I down there for?”

”Mmm, I would say about 10 minutes,” Kat thought and responded.

”THAT LONG?” Laz would have thought that impossible if someone had told him it happened.

”That's pretty decent actually. As you practice it, you will be able to go for longer and longer. If it wasn't for the fact that your heart started stopping, I would have left you down there longer.”

Laz felt this comment was more than a bit strange, but he let it go.

”Thanks. For everything.”

”Ha. No need for thanks, we will just say you owe me another one.” Kat went straight in for the kill without hesitation.

'So this time was breaking into the school and skinny dipping, how can she top that?' Laz wasn't about to voice this thought though.

”Alright. So, now what?” So far, he had learned quite a bit from tonight. He had figured out that spiritual communication was a thing that he and others could do. He learned that he could hold his breathe for a long time if he was able to focus and calm his mind and that apparently, pressure on the body was good for cultivation...

'Wait a sec...' Laz swam towards the side of the pool and got out. Although it was a bit colder outside of the warm water, it didn't bother him much. He quickly sat down and started to circulate his energy.

Kat, with a huge smile on her face, swam to the side and propped her head and arms up, hanging out of the water a bit.

'Seems like he's finally connecting the dots.' She couldn't help but be fond of him. He was a good student who would take whatever torture she threw at him and a fun young man who went along with whatever she came up with. The more she looked at his dark hair and young face, the more she realized that maybe she liked this boy. This wasn't her goal, but it was hard not to.

Had he complained all the time, tried to avoid her and work or even just spent the time trying to hit on her, she probably wouldn't have had such a positive feeling. But he didn't. Even today was a bit of a risk, but she went ahead with it anyway. She actually had both a speedo for him and a bikini for her in her purse, something she had prepared before the night began. But she got the feeling that he was trustworthy.

Did he stare a bit too much at her? Yes.

Did he show some lust in his gazing? Absolutely.

But in the end, did he try anything? No. He was able to keep his wits about him despite the temptation. For whatever reason, she didn't think about the fact that she might had cause a bit of wariness in him after beating him up every day for the past two weeks, but that wouldn't have matter if she had.

She didn't have a good opinion of guys in the first place.

But she felt Laz was different. Maybe because of his age or his temperament. But she didn't find herself rejecting him solely because he was a guy. This didn't mean that she was just going to take that plunge however. He was still rather young for her, although his body didn't look that way.

Seeing him get what she was trying to show him was a very pleasing experience. She felt like she wanted to reward him somehow.

As he sat there and circulated his energy, he felt the difference. His body was like a sponge that had just found water and he was able to quickly absorb it all quickly. It was a difference between night and day.

”Just how the hell?” Opening his eyes, Laz couldn't believe how quickly it flowed into him. It didn't seem real.

”Feels good doesn't it?” Kat asked while smiling at his surprised expression.

”Yeah, but why did it work so well?”

”It's like a muscle. Because it's a muscle, you can train it. And the more stress you put on it, the stronger it will be, plain and simple.”

”Fucking awesome!” Laz wouldn't admit it, but he was getting a bit addicted to cultivating. The feeling of strengthening yourself bit by bit. He felt like his energy was catching up to the changes in his body. Although everything that went in got more and more compacted, it was purer and stronger.

”I'm glad you like it. Well then, since it's getting a bit late, time to get going...”

”Uh, we are wet and it's like 20 degrees outside. I'm not sure it's going to feel great to be wet and get frozen and I don't have a towel.” Laz pointed out the obvious.

”Well of course we arn't going out wet. Leave the clothes here and follow me.” Kat stood up and made for one of large wooden doors. Laz followed after but briefly stopped when it noticed it said women's on the front of it.

”Umm...”

”Oh come on, really? This is your problem?” Kat popped her head out and saw Laz standing there. Reaching downward to grab his hand, she yanked him inside.

”Move it. I only know my way around the women's room,” not letting go of his arm, she quickly felt around the walls until she came to one of the hand dryers.

”Here we go. Sorry but no lights. Don't need someone finding out we are here after all,” Kat said while flipping on the hand dryer.

”Why are you stiffening your wrist so much? It's not like you can't use the other hand dryer. It should be right on the wall. I just don't want to lose you in the dark.” And it was dark. Almost pitch black since there were no windows in the locker room.

”That's not my arm,” Laz was finally able to get out.

”Well then what the hell am I holding... oh my god...” Kat quickly let go after figuring it out. Laz couldn't help but burst out laughing. After a while, Kat did the same. When they had finally settled down, Kat asked,

”Are you there?”

”Yeah, I haven't moved,” Laz responded.
