The perk of being an overthinker is that Xia Sha had almost thought of every possibility of how her life would turn upside down.

Now, she has always known that a heartbreak caused by Guan Xian had a big chance to crash her world down, but she never thought about leaked sex tapes before.

Are you sure she is talking about me?”

”I did not see her face, but I'm sure she is talking to Mr.Liem that recently bought a start-up company,” Xiao Zhan answers in a careful tone, realizing that Xia Sha and her fury could be unpredictable sometimes.

”Are you sure there is not the slightest chance it could happen? I want to be sure. Don't get me wrong. I'm only telling you this because it could affect futuria's grand opening at the end of the month,” Xiao Zhan added when Xia Sha suddenly went quiet.

”I'm sure,” Xia Sha answered instantly.

Other than the embarrassing ballet video where she falls and cries, Xia Sha is pretty sure she had no skeleton hidden in the closet.

”Then, I'll try to get my hand and find the woman. You should get rest. I'll contact you as soon as I find something,” Xiao Zhan said before he ended the call. He sounds so determined that Xia Sha didn't have time to thank him in advance.

In normal circumstances, Xia Sha would not bother about the gossip until it caused any damage. But when Xia Sha witnessed the quick response Xiao Zhan had to the rumors, she suddenly felt she should not ignore this case.

That irresponsible person that spread those life-ruining rumors might not be as influential as Xia Sha right now. But a weak with a dagger could still take a life.

Ignoring the blasting headache she had, Xia Sha got her phone and dialed someone from her contact book. Within a count of seconds, the call got connected to Mr.Liem, the so-called key witness.

”Good Afternoon, Mr. Liem. It's Xia Sha from Xia Corporation.”

”Xia Sha? I'm delighted to hear from you,” The man sounds excited from the other side.

A crooked smile appears on Xia Sha's face as she imagines Mr.Liem's face. Mr. Liem had a unique signature of smiling wide like a Cheshire cat minus the big eyes. He is notorious for his 'exciting' night adventure as and a lawsuit from his former secretary.

”I heard you acquired a start-up company recently. I coincidentally had taken some interest in the same technology they had. Is there's a chance for future collaboration between our company?” Xia Sha added some fake, polite laugh at the end of her sentence, hiding the disgust she felt toward the man.

”The lucky star finally decided to side with me. I'm honored for the opportunity you provided. But this tempting offer does not come free, does it?”

”Well, if I could be direct with you-” Xia Sha hung her sentence.

”Of course, I would rather have a clean business transaction,” he answered calmly.

”I won't be courteous then. I might need a name from you, Mr.Liem.”

Mr.Liem goes silent for a moment. He must've complemented the matters carefully. Xia Sha is the bride of Guan Xian and as well as COO from Xia Corporation. Since Mr.Liem got the upper hand, he carefully used his opportunity to the fullest.

”Well, I'm surprised you need the name from me, Ms. Xia. But well, I'll see you this Tuesday with a contract. I hope we will have good cooperation.”

Mr. Liem ended the conversation sounding satisfied.

There's no way Guan Xian would let her work on Tuesday, and Fu Qun, the traitor, had sided with Guan Xian. Xia Sha feels she had no choice but to hide these matters for a while from Guan Xian. In the end, she took a deep breath before she texted the place and time to Mr. Liem's number.
