”I'm sorry, sir, did you say 20 million yuan?”

”Yes, 20 million yuan.”

”I'm sorry, please just wait for me a minute, I need to get my manager for such a sizeable amount.”

The banker then walked away. Rather, she ran to get her manager as fast as she could. Wang Ming hadn't noticed it, but the banker had looked at him with a face full of contempt.

It didn't take long before the banker came back, but when she came back, she didn't come alone but with her manager. But she had brought a squad of guards as well. He had only seen one guard earlier, but now there were five. Two blocked the door while rest surrounded Wang Ming.

”Excuse me, what is this?”

This time it wasn't the female banker talking, but her manager.

”Sir, it's come to my attention that you're a scammer. My colleague here said you wanted to scam us for 20 million yuan. That's ridiculous! I need you to sit here until the police arrive, then they will take over the investigation. Is that ok?”

”What, no! I'm not a scammer, I'm a restaurant owner, I want to get a loan to expand my business. What is this? Is this how you treat customers?”

Wang Ming felt the anger he had calmed down earlier surface. He took deep breaths to calm himself down, but for the bankers it looked like he was nervous, so he kept breathing to calm himself down.

”Once again, I've notified the police you have to stay here until they come, I will not listen to any excuses until they arrive you can explain all you want to the police but we won't fall for it.”

What's happening? He just wanted to get a loan, but now he had the police called on him for trying to scam a bank? They hadn't even bothered to check who Wang Ming even was, Wang Ming's were 100% sure that asking for a loan even how high it is isn't illegal, the bank can decline the application but it's not illegal, he didn't understand what ground they had to report him.

”Do whatever you want, I'll sit here. I'll play your games for now.”

Wang Ming knew that there was nothing he could say now, he just needed to wait for the police to come, they could say and twist the case however they wanted, but Wang Ming knew that till the end it would only be their words against his, if they had any recordings of the interaction then it would be good for Wang Ming as it would clearly show he had done nothing wrong.

”Good.”

The guards were still standing around Wang Ming, looking menacingly at him. They had guns but didn't use them as it could give them devastating repercussion if an accident happens.

The tension in the room started building. The bankers didn't feel scared that they would get problems with the police but they felt pressured by Wang Ming as he kept glaring at them he looked like a hungry tiger staring at its prey.

But then the police finally arrived, the female banker and her manager hurriedly ran out to fetch them. Leaving the guards with Wang Ming.

”I think you guys should just go now when you still have the chance. I know you guys are just doing your jobs.”

Wang Ming tried to be nice as he knew they were just doing their jobs, but they weren't any better than the bankers, they just smirked evilly at Wang Ming and ignored him.

”He's here police officers, please take him away!”

Seeing the police officers who arrived, it was Wang Ming's turn to smirk.

”Wang Ming! Why is it you?”
