130 Survive (1/2)

Linri rushed down the stairs. He wasn't sure why but meeting with this person felt like it would give him some clues. His instincts were always right... mostly.

When he finally made it to the ground floor Linri was greeted by the sight of Natsumi running away from someone. However something felt wrong, Linri could not see the man's pupils. His eyes were all white. There was also something bothering him about the man but he did not know why.

[Heat Vision]

The world was painted in the shades of red and blue. Thankfully he could still use his abilities. It would be embarrassing if he tried to shoot his flames and seeing nothing come out. By this time Natsumi had already noticed him and she was running towards where he was. She was crying for some reason. Was the man a rapist? Anyway, it was not his problem even if he was, so for now, he just needed to subdue him.

Linri finally paid attention to the man chasing her and he was surprised. His body was mostly blue with shades of green here and there, meaning his body temperature was somewhere between 0 C° and 20 C°. Mind you a normal person had a body temperature of 37 C°. It shouldn't be possible for a person's body to be this cold unless the weather was freezing or the person was already dead. Linri was clearly suspecting the latter. Maybe Udcek was really attacking the school and this was a member of his undead army? Anyway, he couldn't kill what was already that so there was no need to hold back!

[Fire Bullet] X 3

Linri shot three bullets to the undead's head and watched it fall to the ground. The bullets had pierced his head scattering brain all over the ground. This was interesting. He did not know that this ability had piercing properties. Then again it had bullet in its name so it shouldn't be that surprising. When he was deep in thought Natsumi jumped into his arms and started crying. Too bad that she was as flat as a board compared to Chesa. Why didn't everyone in this school had giant boobs anyway? If he had ever made a girl character he would have definitely given her giant boobs but that was his preference.

\”Shhhhh, calm down... everything is okay... now slowly tell me about what happened\” Linri said while patting Natsumi's head. He was no player but these days he really got good at comforting crying girls. Well, it was mostly because he was the reason they started crying in the first place but that was not the point.

\”Ay wash schleepyng and *sniff* he *sniff* attaycked me\” Linri frowned. This was not what he wanted to hear. He needed more details.

\”Okay, okay, calm down. He is gone now. Look, he can't hurt you anymore. So tell me everything from the top without missing any details\” He kept on comforting her.

Natsumi finally calmed down and started telling him everything that had happened.

\”Sorry about that. Well, I found myself sleeping in the dormitory hall. It was weird because I didn't remember sleeping there. Then I went upstairs to my room but my roommate Ashley wasn't there. I didn't pay any heed to it thinking she went out for a run. She does that every morning you know. Then I laid on the bed for a quick nap since there was still time till the classes start. When I was about to sleep I heard this loud knock on the door like someone was banging it. I thought it might be her and she forgot her keys, again. When I opened the door that abomination attacked me. I am not good with combat. I can mostly heal others or buff them so I ran away. You know the rest\” Natsumi explained. Still, this did not explain why she was crying. She was holding her left arm with her right hand. Maybe it was because she found it hard to talk about her experience but it didn't sound that way. Anyway, that was not important for now.

Her story was similar to what had happened to him except for the part where she got attacked. The plot thickens. Udcek was a god of death so he shouldn't have the power to force people to sleep or mess with their memories. Then again, he could invade his dreams so who knows? Fuck my overly edgy teenager mind! Why would you give the God of Death power the invade others' dreams? At the time it was cool foreshadowing but it stopped being funny a long time ago. He swore that if he could go back in time he would give himself a good beating. You were not cool okay!? So stop trying to act so edgy all the time you goddamn idiot!

\”Okay then. We should go\” Linri said as he got up from the ground. Linri took one last look at the dead body in the ground. It felt like he was missing something but he did not know what. Anyway, it was not his problem now so he did not need to think about it.

\”Go where?\”

\”To the teachers of course. Honestly, I don't understand what's going on but that crazy bi- *ahem* I mean highly respected Ms Snow or that ancient pervert Richard should know what's going on\” Linri said as he started to make his way towards the dormitory.

The teachers lived in the same place as the students but they lived on the ground floor while students took the upper ones.

The Duo slowly made their ways into the dormitory. Natsumi was like a little scared puppy. She would jump at Linri at the littlest of sounds. He was annoyed by her honestly. I mean yeah sure, you just had a traumatic experience but you don't have to be so jumpy all the time. He had already killed the assailant for god's sake. What did she expect that another one was going to pop out all of a sudden?
