Chapter 3.2 - What Is Your Sign? (2/2)
“Cough… I have shown great leadership since I was a child. I was a natural born conductor if I may add!” Xiao Zheng interfered with Lin Huaying’s decision. “The position of a training manager was a little overkill for me. Sigh… however, it is still the closest of the three positions to my true strength!”
“There’s no other jobs?” The Ice Goddess frowned.
Her frown showed that she did not think Xiao Zheng was qualified for the above three opening positions.
“Ah, well, the Marketing Department’s cleaner resigned because her daughter-in-law was pregnant. The staff of the department recently complained about the work environment—”
“Hey! How can I a tall, handsome man be a cleaner? This is an insult to my character!” Xiao Zheng fumed with anger. “Even if you want me to start from the bottom down, at least give me the position of training manager! To tell you the truth, in the fifth grade of primary school, I received the price in my city’s Abacus Competition!”
Lin Huayin’s lips twitched. She initially chose the position of cleaning for Xiao Zheng, but maybe it was because she grew tired of his constant blabbering or the words “daughter-in-law is pregnant” that hurt her sensitive nerves that she coldly said, “Go report to the Security Department. You work officially today.”
Xiao Zheng let out a long breath.
Well, this is the second best, he thought.
Though he did not become a training manager as he so wished, being a security guard wasn’t too bad. Work free and easy; a good match to his lazy lifestyle.
However, when he saw the looks of disdain, annoyance, and loathe in the eyes of the Ice Goddess, Xiao Zheng’s heart was filled with rage.
Wasn’t it just one night? No one was forcing you! If you didn’t want it, why would I force myself on you? Do you have to treat me like a scum pervert? This is unfair!
Xiao Zheng knew the reason why she chose to gave him this job. She was afraid that he’d disappear and run away secretly when she’s not looking, but to him, it was a fortuitous encounter. He was looking for a job in times of this difficult economy and his “wife” just so happened to offer him one.
He should think of it as an honor, to become the guard of a company owned by one of the most beautiful woman in the country.
However, out of her look of indignation, Xiao Zheng sat up straight and looked at Lin Huayin solemnly whose face was full of cold, icy frost. “Since we are now husband and wife in contract, do you mind if I ask you a question?”
“Speak.”
“What’s your constellation?” Xiao Zheng asked curiously, a trace of playfulness glinting across his eyes. “What’s your star sign?”
She was startled, confused by his question, but however, in order to get rid of the bastard whose mouth had no filter, she casually said, “Virgo.”
“No you’re not.”
