Chapter 3.2: What Is Your Sign?

Xiao Zheng chose not to react to the knife Lin Huayin grasped in her hand because somehow, it vanished into thin air; there was no sign of it anywhere.

“A beautiful woman like you playing with knives really affects your sense of beauty.” He sneakily hid the knife that belonged to his soon-to-be-wife and clapped his hands without a care in the world. “Okay, let’s get back to business! I accept the terms and agreements. Give me a pen.”

Upon seeing Xiao Zheng readily agree, Lin Huaying sat back down on the sofa albeit trembling all over. Coldly, she said, “Lawyer Deng, give him a pen.”

Lawyer Deng quickly pulled out his pend and handed it to Xiao Zheng as droplets of cold beads of sweat formed on his temples. “Mr. Xiao, please sign on the last page.”

Xiao Zheng received the pen and wrote down his name, the speed of it too fast for the eyes.

Seeing the negotiations finally came to an end, Lawyer Deng sighed relievingly and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and carefully asked, “Mr. Xiao, our Boss handed over all her personal information to you. I hope you will also prepare a personal report for us. After all, the agreement was limited to two conservative months. If both sides understand each other on an equal level, it’ll surely reduce the number of unnecessary misunderstandings.”

“My personal information?” Xiao Zheng tilted his head and rubbed his chin. “Hmm… Height: 1.8 meters… Tall and handsome… Good health… no bad habits…”

He blurted it out like it was his most precious treasure.

“………”

Lawyer Deng should have never asked. The couth was exaggerating himself. Why did he have to askabout this guy’s personal data? The Boss never mentioned he had too either.

Agh! Damn it all!

Damn my big mouth!

“Do you have a job?” Lin Huayin suppressed her raging fury and questioned him coldly. From the tone of her voice, it sounded more like an interrogation of a prisoner.

“There are several companies in contact with me right now… coughs… they’ve offered me a plenty of positions to choose for my own liking, but as far as my personal habits are concerned, I’m feeling more or less inclined to reject as I find it too tiring and would impede on my private space, so I haven’t yet given a formal answer to them.” Xiao Zheng said seriously.

“It’s only temporary.” Xiao Zheng emphasized.

“Lawyer Deng, check the company for any vacant positions.” Lin Huayin said coldly.

“Oi! What are you doing? Hey, are you looking down on me? What? Give it to me? I’m not ready to be a gigolo yet!” Xiao Zheng argued confidently, but he received no sort of response.

“The HR Department is short of a training manager,” Lawyer Deng replied. “The Finance Department is short of a cashier; the Security Department short of a security guard… these are the three most pressing problems the company faces at the moment.”
