161 Journey to The Capital pt 2 (2/2)

The lack of Rations however only proved true for those of the Subarashi Dynasty, Draig held plenty of Rations and other things within the depths of his satchel. He had been thriving on his own resources simply because he was skeptical of the entire situation he was in. The Entirety of the Subarashi Dynasty had wanted him dead or locked up over the death of the Man leading this little group, not only was the person not dead as he was told but the hostile relations he had with the Heirs had suddenly disappeared and they were delighted to see him?

Draig scoffed to himself thinking over this.

As they continued for a few more days and the Capital city finally came into sight the group looked relieved with the exception of Draig who was staring as if he was looking at an enemy fortress.

'So it is almost time for the show to end. . . .' thought Draig as he followed at the back of the group as they began sprinting to the gates even though the Capital was still quite the distance.

Through the use of their Deva Energy the group was able to speed up the journey and arrive before the end of the day. Draig had managed to keep up by tranforming his legs into that of his Hybrid form which had the effect of capturing the surprised looks from the Heirs who couldn't feel the Deva energy in the Feratu being used.

'He's gotten even stronger. . .' thought Junko as she tried to pick up the pace but Draig was able to keep up easily though that was only due to his outward appearance.

Internally Draig was hoping for them to stop already, due to his recent habit of always meditating his physical condition was falling from disuse even in his Hybrid form his strength was beginning to feel less than what it had.

'Need to do some physical training, perhaps this little house call won't take long and I can be out of this place before too much time has passed before the Deva Academy opens back up' thought Draig  as the group finally came to a stop at the gates of the luxurious palace.

Standing outside the doors you could faintly hear the sound of celebration going on within.

”Looks like they started without us” chuckled the Emperor turning to look at his grandchildren and Draig.

”Why don't we join them and get us something to eat” smiled the Emperor as he pushed open the doors with a flourish revealing himself along with the Heirs behind him causing the room to erupt in cheers.

This sight was contrary to what Draig had been expecting, he couldn't find any malice in the eyes of the Heirs nor their parents when they looked at him. . . this had truly confused Draig as he had began doubting himself.

He had expected to be welcomed into the party where the people would then show their true intentions or perhaps make a slip in their act but that wasn't the case.

'What has happened. . . . ' thought Draig as mixed into the crowd to think.
