80 Return of Draig (2/2)
”Then before you go allow me to give you something” called Zarra as Draig found a familiar cloak thrown over him.
”This is something that has been with me since before I was your age, it is very special to me. Your mother made it when I was much younger than I am today, she had told me that it made me look cool.” laughed the mage as he picked up the doll.
”My mother” muttered Draig as he rubbed the tattered Fabric of the cloak.
”It has kept me safe all this time and now I hope it will do the same for you” continued Zarra as he looked at Draig smiling though you could see that his eyes were still reluctant.
”You really going to let me go” asked Draig surprised
”I have had the most wonderful time being able to catch up on the things I missed in your childhood, I feel that now it is okay for me to let go but I do have a favor to ask” stated Zarra his smile faltering a bit.
”What is it” asked Draig feeling odd about the mage.
”Don't die out there” asked Zarra as his voice began to crack.
”Heh, do you think I'm some weak mortal. I am Feratu, nothing will kill me as long as this blood runs through my veins” laughed Draig though a twinkle showed that his bravado was falsed.
”More than that, your my son. The son of the strongest in the mortal realm” laughed Zarra though it was clear tears were beginning to fall but he hid it well with the sound of his voice.
”Goodbye” stated Draig as he burst off in a whirlwind but a small whisper made it's way to Zarra's ears that caused the man to smile to brighten but his tears to become more intense.
”dad” was the word and Zarra hugged the doll to him squeezing it tightly.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
Up above Draig wiped the offending droplet from his eyes and that look returned to his eyes, he looked into the distance and could see the dazzling golden lights and they filled him with disgust for some reason.
”It seems things have changed during my vacation” chuckled Draig as he became mist drifting in the winds.
