66 Return of The Bloody Enchanter pt 4 (2/2)
”There is more to this than what your thinking” called out Zarra as the populace began to gather from the intensity of the battle.
”What more is there to abandoning me for these wretches, I could have died if not for my natural attributes. Perhaps that was the blessing behind the curse of my condition” yelled Draig as his eyes seemed to burn with hell's flames as he ate a Blood gem that appeared darker than anything the world had to offer and his class changed sending out a familiar energy.
Zarra widened his eyes at the move as he had understood what happened, Draig had switched his class.... to Dark Mage.
”Come on Dear old Dad, I'm just like you now.” came Draig's heartless insane laughter as a dark orb formed in his hands shot towards the crowd surrounding him and Zarra shocking the mage as he darted to protect them from the danger.
Draig laughed some more as he started summoning more orbs and sending them out forcing Zarra to open several rifts that opened far away but the blasts could still be heard.
”Oh still got a bit kick to you for an old man” sneered Draig as he opened several rifts of his own all around before summoning more Dark orbs.
”Round and Round they go where they hit.... only I know” chuckled Draig as he released them causing Zarra to panick against as he cast a spread barrier before runes rode up the sides of the barrier surrounding him and Draig.
Draig laughed and tried summoning another Dark orb but found it futile, he looked to the mage across from his that seemed to be in the same predicament.
Draig sneered before trying to summon a blood gem to switch his class but found it unuseable as well.
”What is this, what did you do Mage” demanded Draig snarling viciously.
”Right now I am not a mage and you are not a vampire, enchanter, or anything else. Right now you are my son, I am your father. Take your anger out on me, I am the one who left you, who protected these people that would harm you. It's my fault, so hit me, curse me, do whatever you need to do but remember. Deep down in my heart I have never forgotten you, I was there at the Orphanage any chance I coud. I never missed your birthday, I made sure you were selected for a class so your life would get better, I brought down the walls so you could escape, and it was me who deprived you of a family's love. So Draig come at me, not as the Dark Lord Zarra but as Zarra, your negligent father” stated Zarra causing the surrounding people to gasp in shock at the revelation, they knew well the tribulations that Draig had gone through as they were the one's who had caused him to struggle just to scrounge up a meal, who sought his destruction up to the very day he escaped.
Draig's eyes seemed to return to normal as his breathing became heavy and welled up with tears that wished to fall.
Sylvie at the side watched as her heart ached for Draig, wishing she could help but she was separated by the barrier.
Draig growled in frustration as he grit his teeth and charged the mage as a normal human would, no Vampire traits, no classes to assist him. Just man to man as Draig swung with all his might knocking Zarra directly in the face forcing him to the ground before he got on top of him and began swinging wildly but Zarra never made a sound as tears that had been held back for years finally fell. He took every blow Draig had to give until the young Feratu ran out of energy and couldn't swing his hands any longer.
Zarra at this point leaned forward and wrapped his singular arm around the Vampire and said in the most pitiful voice but the only once he could manage.
”Forgive me, my child” cried Zarra holding Draig for dear life not willing to let go this time.
”Vampire's don't forgive and damn it they can't cry” cried Draig as he tried to push Zarra away but found it impossible in his exhausted state.
”As I said, in this moment your not a vampire. Your my son, Draig” cried Zarra with a smile as he felt Draig relax into his arms causing a memory to flash before his eyes of a newborn Draig in his arms.
'Eliza, I did it..... I brought him home' thought Zarra as his tears continued to pour as the sky faded into stars.
