61 Draig Journeys Forth (1/2)

Draig had finished healing by the time night fell, taking this as his chance he planned to leave without causing a commotion. He just wasn't the type to enjoy those types of things, however he couldn't leave without a certain Wolf's notice.

As Draig landed on the City wall he found that he was beat there by a familiar face.

”So you really intend to leave” asked Kira as he looked towards the moon.

”That is my intention” answered Draig as he stared at the broad back of this Old dog.

”When will you return” asked Kira carrying a bit of sadness in his voice.

”I'm not sure but I will return, I have some unfinished business with a few fellows here. It wouldn't do for me to let them keep running about” stated Draig projecting his smirk through his words.

Kira finally turned around and looked at Draig deep in his eyes as if looking for a definate answer but finding none.

”Then I wish you well... Master” said Kira softly as he stepped forward and placed his hand atop Draig's head showing his fondess for the youth.

Draig couldn't help it as he waved the hand off and turned his back on the Old wolf.

”Since when does a pet pat his Master's head” chuckled Draig as he began walking towards the edge of the wall.

”Since I feel this may be the last time I see you” stated Kira causing Draig to pause in his steps.

”Don't be ridiculous, where I am going there is no one who can handle my natural superiority” laughed Draig before he became Mist in the night wind leaving Kira staring at the place he had stood until the morning sun had risen.

'Don't die brat, my old heart couldn't handle the news' thought Kira as he turned away ready to finish the task of uniting the tribes and await Draig's return.

Draig travelled by himself once again, he couldn't help but feel something was lacking as he had grown accustomed to the presence of his subordinates. However he wouldn't turn back, this was something he needed to prove to himself.

”So the Feratu Heir has abandoned his beloved pets” came the chuckle from in front of him as Asagi seemed to appear out of thin air.

However contrary to the fox's expectations Draig didn't even so much as pay him a glance as he walked by completely ignoring him. Stunned by being snuffed so easily Asagi tried again but with an attack but was met with a swift strike winding him before his neck was grabbed tightly.

”Wait! Please. I didn't come to attack this time, I swear” stated the Fox in a panic.

Draig stared unamused as the Fox had done exactly that when Draig had walked past him.

”Then tell me what do you want” demanded Draig squeezing the Fox a bit tighter in his grip.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

”There's a demoness in the Forest slaughtering it's inhabitants without reason. Even my Fox Clan has suffered from it, I'm the strongest in my Clan but even I can't face her wrath. You however, you can beat me and tame those mutts as easy as breathing air. I know I have accosted you in the past but this time I seek your assistance” cried Asagi as he thought of that horrid creature and her little subordinate.

Draig heard the word Demon and was instantly hooked, looking at the fox he wrapped a leash around Asagi's neck. Something he had prepared before setting out with his pets in case they got to rowdy.

The leash seemed to disappear as a red choker was left around Asagi's neck with a little bell. Staring at it Asagi felt humiliated but it was no time for him to focus on his pride.

”Will you help me” asked Asagi ignoring his grievance at the moment.

”Take me to this Demon” said Draig as he watched Asagi fly off while he stood there with a smile as he waited for the Leash to take effect.

Asagi didn't make it twelve feet before he seemed to be clothes lined by an invisible force, hearing the Feratu behind him erupt in laughter caused him to burn in anger but he didn't say anything and waited for the Vampire.

”Don't be so angry, just a precaution. I still have not settled our conflict and would hate to see you leave before that has been cleared up” chuckled Draig following the Fox closely.

It didn't take long for them to arrive and it was indeed as Asagi had said, there were corpses of miscellaneous monsters laying all about causing a toxic smell to invade the atmosphere.

Making use of the opportunity Draig collected samples just in case there was something to be had from these slaughtered mongrels.

”Well where is this Demon, I see nothing here but a junkyard of monster parts” asked Draig as he activated his Appraisal hoping to find anything of note.

”I-Im not sure, she was here not that long ago” stuttered Asagi as he looked at macabre display before him, it was clearly his first time seeing such bloodshed en masse.

”Send your clones to search then” stated Draig yanking the invisible chord getting the Fox's attention.

'Of course' thought Asagi as he regained a bit of his composure.

Suddenly the clearing was filled with Asagis, they all ran out in search of the Demon that had slaughtered these monster's so brutally when Asagi was suddenly assaulted by a backlash of some sort. His body shook violently as he hacked up a mouthful of blood before pointing in a random direction, Draig dashed suddenly indenting the ground causing Asagi to be drug behind him by the leash.

'God Damn You Feratu' growled the Fox in his head as he tried to right his position so he could join the sprint.

However he found himself crashing into Draig's back as he stopped suddenly and stared at the Demon before him.

'It can't be' thought Draig as he began to regret coming with Asagi.

”There she is hurry stop before my Clan is slaughtered” yipped Asagi gaining the Demon's attention.

”Draig” called the demon causing her subordinate to stop too as she began to smile.

'Finally we found him' thought Winter

”You are trespassing in my Domain” stated Draig dangerously ignoring the fact that he in fact recognized this girl turned Demon.

”Sylvie is just cleaning up the forest” stated Sylvie as she went to cleave another Fox kin but found her blade stopped by Draig's trusted cane.

”Slaughtering my pets” stated Draig as the gathered Fox kin saw Asagi walking behind Draig assuming this was their savior.

Sylvie seemed to stop after hearing that and looked at all the bodies, soon she resumed her normal form though the buds of horns could be seen developing and a few dark veins had appeared on her skin. These did not go unnoticed by Draig as he carefully examined them with a slight glance.

”Sylvie didn't know” responded the girl with a bit of regret in her voice.
