59 The Beast of War (2/2)
In fact it even gained the chagrin of the Old wolf as he found this to be an insult as if the Feratu was mocking him. He dashed like a mirage his Body flitted in and out along the Battlefield showing multiple figures of the Old wolf.
Draig sneered and struck one but found he only struck air, realizing his mistake he tried to dodge but a vicious kick tore its way through the wind and met the young Vampire launching him across the ground carving a shallow trench. Kira dashed over quickly intending for another strike while Draig was down but instead of a second strike he was met with a head snapping kick that launched him into the air.
”Cant run in the air you mangy dog” chuckled Draig as he leapt up to meet the Old wolf for a second strike but that was for naught.
”That is the case” came Kira's words while Draig was on the rise to meet him.
”But that is only for you” finished Kira as his foot seemed to hit solid ground in the air causing a thunderous crack to be heard as he had appeared back on the ground but this was only the beginning as he ricocheted behind Draig and landed a heavy handed punch to his Master's head planting it into the dirt.
'I can't be this weak' thought Draig as he laid there stars swarming his vision, he recounted all the encounters he had and couldn't help but feel he was a frog in a well.
'Has all my gathering of these abilities been for nothing, my heritage a fraud. Am I not fit to be the Heir of Feratu' Draig heard Kira walking towards him calmly.
His head began to fill with the story the founder had told of his life, the power he had wielded. Draig thought himself to be of the same breed but the Founder could fight Devils and Gods alike and still win but he was here losing to his own subordinate.
'No' thought Draig as he forced his bruised and broken body from the ground, his regeneration for some reason didn't feel like it was working but it was clear it was as his chest stitched back together.
”Master, let's stop this. You have gotten what you wanted” called Kira as he stopped a few feet away from Draig.
”I won't” spat Draig as he once again took up a fighting position though his arms laid slack against his sides.
Kira nodded, he could respect this kind of quality but it was useless if one was dead. That in mind he made the decision to end the battle.
”So be it, forgive me Master” stated Kira as he left Draig's vision once again.
In this moment time seemed to slow down as Draig's eyes were shadowed by his hair.
'Is this all I can do against real strength, is this my limit' thought Draig as his body seemed to give out on him.
