11 School is the death of Innocence (2/2)
”Your right about the kid he's just like” Rodolfo was cut off with a sharp look from Zarra
”Don't say it, he's not ready to know and honestly if he goes on without knowing would be just as well for me” said Zarra mysteriously
”Very well then lets discuss something else, you said he can gain skills without books what did you mean by that” asked Rodolfo while Sin and Jared focused on the conversation.
”All I will say is if you let that mouth of his latch onto you he is making you a pushover” said Zarra
They understood his meaning immediately and noted to watch out for those fangs.
While everyone had been discussing a squadron of runners delivered various bags before bidding farewell.
”Alright brats it seems times up, hope your satisfied with your decisions but hey it's never too late to change your mind in the middle of the training. Now after I empty all these bags feel free to begin” said Zarra as he and his squad proceeded to dump those bags into several enormous piles gaining the greedy looks of the Guilders and Draig alike
'Seems I miscalculated, there won't be enough room in the system storage' thought Draig
Everyone watched as the last bag emptied and gulped silently, they then began to look at each other warily before they were brought from their suspicions when Zarra spoke.
”What are you waiting for the leech brat seems to be the only one reaping the benefits” stated Zarra as he waved his hand over where they thought Draig was only to find it shimmering into nothing.
Seeing this they all grit their teeth before charging forward intent on getting something before all the best items were gone.
Draig had moved quickly using his superior speed and senses to search out specific things, those being Skillbooks, pills, and ingredients. Using the stacking ability granted to small items like pills and vials he managed to grab a large quantity before grabbing a decent set of armor and then used his Wasteland magic to create a bog to slow the Guilders even further shoving as many valuables in his bag as possible even using a bag Zarra had left by the pile to go and scrounge through the other piles but it was impossible to grab the amount of things he had wished too and cut his losses as the Guilders made it through the bog.
He intended to make a dash for it but saw Zarra step in front of him with a smile.
”Where do you think your going leech brat” asked Zarra raising his staff and giving it a twirl
”What do you mean, I grabbed what I could and now I'm leaving” said Draig in a rush
”No I mean where are you going with all of MY belongings” said Zarra as he began walking forward
”What you said we could keep what we got” said Draig as he gained a foreboding feeling
”I also said if you have the strength to keep it” finished Zarra charging forward swinging his staff intent on knocking Draig back into the power struggle for resources.
”You also said the weak will learn to be crafty Dark mage” stated Draig as he turned to mist upon making contact with the staff causing Zarra to gape at the unexpected turn of events before he his eyes flashed angrily.
”That brat was holding out on me” stated Zarra looking for a trace of the mist but finding nothing he decided to take his frustration out on the rest of the brats.
'Well at least he learned how to be crafty' thought Zarra hiding a smile
