88 Europas First Punch (2/2)

”Sorry, uncle. I really want to play with you... Why things changed, uncle? Why mama and you are not playing with me anymore?”

Wang Yuvin kneeled down to face his niece. He then gently cupped her plump cheeks with his hands.

”Please forgive your mama and I if we're not able to play with you these past days. We are just dealing with aproblem. I hope that Europa will do her best to understand and cooperate with us.

”Problem? What happened, Uncle?” Europa's eyes flashed with anxiety the instant she heard the word problem.

”What's with that face? Are you worried about us?” Wang Yuvin asked.

Europa didn't utter a word. She just nodded her head.

”Aww! Uncle Yuvin is so touched. But you don't have to worry, dear. Everything will be alright. Anyway, if you don't really want to learn martial arts, I will not force you to.” Wang Yuvin said as he kissed Europa's forehead.

”No, uncle. I want to learn. Please teach me.” With pleading eyes, Europa stared straight to Wang Yuvin.

”I thought you just want to play? Why did you suddenly change your mind?”

”I don't want to cause uncle a headache. I also think that uncle wants me to learn martial arts so that I can protect myself when you and mama are not around.”

”Very clever. But are you really sure about learning martial arts? There's no turning back once we start. Also, uncle is a very strict teacher.”

”I don't mind uncle being a strict teacher as long as I will not cause any problem for you and mama.”

”Thank you, dear.”

”You're welcome, uncle. What should I learn first? Kick or punch?” Europa said, her voice filled with enthusiasm.

”Haha not so fast. You need to learn the basic forms and posture before throwing punches and kicks.”

”Basic forms? Why can't I learn to punch and kick right away?”

”If you master the basic forms, your punches and kicks will become more powerful.” Wang Yuvin explained as he stood up and demonstrated some stances to Europa.

The little girl can't help but be amazed with her uncle's suave movements. She then silently promised to herself that she will become as awesome as her uncle too. As soon as Wang Yuvin had finished the series of forms, Europa went to him. Wang Yuvin thought that Europa will hug him. Much to his surprise, the little girl punched his stomach! He then pretended that what Europa did had hurt him.

”Why did you punch me, dear? It hurts, you know?” Wang Yuvin crumpled his face as if he was really hurt by the punch.

”Hmp. I punched you cause you are a show-off, uncle!”

”Haha, Do you envy your uncle?”

”Nah. I'm better than you.”

”Yes, you are better than uncle. Shall we start with our lesson now?”

”Okay, uncle!” Europa answered with a bright smile on her pretty face.
