88 Europas First Punch (1/2)
When Qin Sho was not looking, Wang Reiji sneakily stared at Rentao as if she was a helpless puppy cornered by a vicious tiger.
Seeing his boss in a pinch, Rentao attempted to get Qin Sho's attention again. Luckily, his attempt was successful.
”Excuse me, CEO Qin. I think you are mistaken. This is Miss Jing, she used to be my assistant. Now, she's a rising star from AGM entertainment.”
Hearing her cue, Wang Reiji opened her purse and took out a calling card. The fake calling card was Wang Yuvin's idea just in case something unexpected happened. He also suggested to use a fake AGM Entertainment identification card.
With a wide smile on her face, Wang Reiji stretched her arms out and showed Qin Sho the fake calling card and ID.
Qin Sho's Phoenix eyes then examined the card and the ID. The two items seemed legit.After staring hard at the items that were handed to him, he then turned his gaze to the beauty beside him. Realizing that the lady bore no resemblance to Wang Reiji at all, he quickly returned the items and apologized.
”Sorry, Miss Jing. Please forgive me. I have mistaken you for somebody else. It's just that your scent is similar to a certain person. I thought that you were her in disguise.”
Using her knowledge in voice modulation, Wang Reiji confidently replied to Qin Sho.
”It's not a big deal, CEO Qin. I'm used to being mistaken as somebody else. Maybe that's the reason why I could not get regular job offers cause I do not stand out. If not for Sir Rentao's recommendation, I doubt if CEO Wang will choose me to become Oriental Europa's endorser.” Wang Reiji lied as to add some drama to make her acting more convincing.
”Don't be harsh on yourself. I think you were not chosen just because of a simple recommendation. CEO Wang saw something in you.” Qin Sho said as he smiled warmly at the person he was talking to.
As soon as the elevator reached the ground floor of the Paragon Tower, Wang Reiji and Rentao immediately stepped outside, leaving Qin Sho behind.
”Are you already heading to the carpark, CEO Qin? CEO Wang is on her way here. Don't you want to wait for her?”
At that moment, Wang Reiji was itching to break her assistant's neck. The two of them just narrowly escaped a disaster, but now her assistant was openly inviting danger!
”You know I would love to, but unfortunately I have prior commitments. Please send my regards to your boss. Also, tell her that I am now considering to attend the masquerade ball as long as I'll be her escort.” Qin Sho said as he bid them goodbye.
After having to walked some few steps away from each other, Qin Sho stopped on his tracks and looked back. He then yelled,
”Secretary Rentao, forget the last thing I said. I will just ask her that myself.”
Rentao immediately turned around and nodded his head. As soon as Qin Sho disappeared from his sight, he quickly followed behind his boss.
”I almost got caught! I didn't expect to see Qin Sho here. Of all people, why it had to be him?”
”Fret no more, boss. It seemed like your acting really worked like magic.”
”You! Why did you suddenly invite him to come with us? You know it took me almost 3 hours to dye my hair black! How am I supposed to change my hair to Auburn in just a couple of minutes?”
”Forgive me on that, boss. I was just thinking that it was a good follow up to convince CEO Qin further.”
”Hmp. Good thing it went well so I will just turn a blind eye to it. Anyway, I'll get going now. I will be meeting with Gianna and Hanzo today. Continue managing the office for the meantime. Call me ASAP if something serious comes up.” Wang Reiji said as she donned her pink aviator eyeglasses and gracefully waltzed her way toward the BMW.
