Chapter 89: Plan (1/2)
On the surface, the panic had calmed down a little. However, inside the cold room of the underground channel, the battle was in a standstill.
”Belong to the lowest rank of the Civilized demon?!” Yman and the others asked Ice.
Ice, without glancing at them, nodded her head, ”Mhm, although Demon of Possession has the weakest physical and magic ability, their mental attack is the scariest about them...”
Hearing what Ice said, Yman and the two girl's countenance turned sour.
In their minds, 'Weakest? Even the mere presence of it was enough for them to get down on their knees. How about those of the strongest family? Does it mean the mere presence of them can tear them into pieces? For some reason, they do not wish to encounter such beings.”
”...So for now stay away from his range?” Ice explained.
Yman and the two girls nodded their heads.
Then she opened her mouth again, ”If only I have a little of my mana, I can do something for you to be unaffected by his mental interference,” Ice mumbled in dismay.
Yman narrowed slightly his eyes.
”Do you mean... the seal will cancel if you use that something you mentioned, Miss Ice?” He asked.
”Mhm, but forget I mentioned it, whether I can do something about his mental attack or not, it isn't still the best choice, since that monster will be able to free himself; even if that monster was from the lowest family of the Demon Sect, his total strength is a hundred folds than yours.”
Yman frowned. He knows what she was saying wasn't an exaggeration by her. He could feel how enormous that monster's strength was — even at this distance. 'Such disparity in level,' he thought.
Yet this demon finds himself his nemesis in the form of Miss Ice. It's not because Miss Ice was stronger than him in terms of strength or magic. It was clear to each of them that this demon's level was way beyond even for Miss Ice. However, his greatest weakness was someone like Miss Ice who was capable of sealing magic. Not just that, she was a genius talent also.
Yman could only sigh, because he feltit was his fault that the demon avoided being completely sealed — in his mind,he must do something about it. Not because he felt guilty, but because the most important person to him was in this city.
Maena and Almina were both silent while listening to Yman and Ice talking.
Ice thought that Yman would probably get scared when he heard what she told them that the seal would be broken when she did something about the demon's mental attacks. After all, it also meant death for both him and these pretty girls with him, together with her, if ever the demon could run free.
But contrary to her expectation, Yman's mouth curved upward.
”Perhaps I have some way to defeat that monster, Miss Ice.”
”Eh?!”
”Eh?!”
”?!”
Not only Ice was startled by his words, but even Almina and Maena also did too.
”Hey, what are you saying?” Ice was startled at this guy. Although he performed unbelievable stuff a while ago, it wasn't enough to defeat the demon.
She stared at him who was at the same time gazing at her with confidence.
'Is this person...for real wanted to defeat that demon?' Ice could not believe it and had to read his eyes.
She saw no lies at them, at his eyes.
On the other hand, Almina and Maena stayed silent. They had the gist of Yman's personality, if this how confidence he was stating it, then he must really have the means to do it. Though doubtful, they trusted him somehow.
”How confident are you that you will succeed?” Ice asked.
His mouth extended to the side, then said, ”It all depends on how we perform.”
Ice stared at him for a second before saying, ”I see.”
Yman then explained his plan to them.
The demon tried to sneak a barrage of magic attacks. But that human boy did really catch his attacks, then it disappeared like a bubble. The demon wondered if this boy was also the same as that Icy girl who uses sealing magic.
He could not let those fools escape from here before he escaped at this altar, so he had to minimize the power of his attack.
After a minute,
”Not bad, though it is a bold and risky plan. Also, it is better than none,” Ice muttered.
Yman couldn't helped showing a tired face then said, ”There's no risky plan, just risky mission.”
Ice knew thatthe seal won't last longer. Her body almost gave up.
”Hah,” She sighed.
Almina and Maena smirked.
”Yman...” Almina called out. He glanced at her.
”Let's do our best!”
”Yeah, let's get out of here alive,” Yman replied.
No matter what, he can't die here.
The demon stared at the human boy and girl with long black hair when they walked in the front. For some reason, his attack was barehanded-caught by this human boy. He has no choice but to stop his attacks and find another way to attack them. If only he did not appear in this place, at this moment he probably already sitting on top of the countless corpse of humans and of those fools demi-humans.
He saw it when that Icy girl tapped her hands at the back of the human boy and girl with long blackhair. A moment later their bodieswere enveloped by a silver glow.
But after it, the cold room crumbled together with stalactites on the ceiling and the ice crystal on the floor. After it, a deity appeared beside that ice girl.
