Chapter 73：Mysterious person in black (1/2)
Before Yman chased after the bird riders.
Inside their room.
”Sis—tela?” Yman tried to call out after Sistela's voice suddenly sounded like a broken machine.
Yet.
Only silence had remained when Sistela's voice ironically went out.
”.....”
He was wondering what happened to her. She suddenly went silent.
Yman gently lay Yana on the sofa and positioned her on her back. Then he took some pillows and put them under her legs.
Currently, his body was enveloped by Black Mana. Probably, this was the third time he would be using it. However, only now that he felt so complete after activating it.
He grinned and thought,
|This is a different kind of feeling from before. I feel like I have the complete control of this power. Is this because I activated my Black Mana while in resonance with Sistela?
Perhaps. Since the last time I'd used it, I was not in resonance with her. I had no choice at that time but to cancel our resonance because of the lack of battery.
Now that I think about it, I activated it, though my stamina was still at 10 percent.
In this regard.
My hypothesis was in actuality!
After I breakthrough, the needed preparation to activate my Black Mana had become lesser.

Yman felt a surge of satisfaction from within. He lifted his hand in front of his face.
It was oozing with black mana, but a moment later, it was absorbed within his body. He concentrated and thought of it as an extension of his limbs. The smoke-like black mana seemed to feel a familiarity towards him. When Yman silently ordered it to return within him, the smoke obeyed as he wanted.
He felt like he was not only in resonance with Sistela. But actually, he was in fusion with her system. No, it probably was, he was dominating her system.
|Dang! Is this Black Mana actually hacking Sistela's system?| Yman exclaimed and questioned himself.
Yet,
He was delighted with this discovery; however, he had no idea of what happened to Sistela. He was a little concerned for some reason.
Yman was stunned when his appearance reflected in one of the glass shards on the floor.
”Who is this handsome face?” He mumbled.
This was the first time he saw his image when he was using the Black Mana. Never in his wildest dream, he would be looking like this!
Yman touched his face and gawked.
He tried to rotate his face side to side. Then the reflection in the mirror did as well.
”It's actually me!” He was in disbelief.
Regardless, Yman has almost entirely changed his appearance.
His messy brown hair had turned black, and his brown pupils in his eyes had become red agate.
Yman thought that it must be because of Black Mana that changes his hair color and his pupils.
All in all. He looks so handsome!
His unhealthy and dull-looking face from awhile ago had now beamed with vigor.
He scanned his body and noticed his skinny body was covered with muscle. Though his body was covered with muscles, looking from other's perspective his features still look slim.
Yman shook his head as it wasn't the right time to be thinking of such thoughts.
Regardless,
He wanted to chase after those people who were the cause of why his sister was in such a state right now. But he had to do something for his sister first. She was more important to him than chasing those goons.
With his 10 percent stamina, he believed he could remain in this state a little longer as long as he was not in battle.
Yman took something to fan Yana. However, a few seconds later.
Tok, tok, tok!
He heard hard-knocking sounds from outside the door which followed by, ”Yman! Yana! Are you there! Are you okay?!” He heard a worried familiar voice.
”Ms. Pai?” Yman muttered and gawked.
Hastily, Yman glanced around him. He must do something with his appearance.
Or should he say she was in the wrong room?
No, he could not do that, he needed her help!
At the corner of his eyes, he saw something, |A hooded jacket? Good!| Yman noticed a hanging jacket outside the dressing cabinet. He forgot to put it inside this morning.
He glanced around again and saw another thing, |Sunglasses! Nice!| His face lit up with impish glee.
|A perfect disguise!| He muttered inwardly.
He hastily went to open the door cause if not, he was afraid that Ms. Pai might destroy it.
When Yman opened the door,
”Eh?”
It was clear from her face that she was surprised to see his attire.
”Ms. Pai, come in.” He urged her, but she was standing still on her spot.
”Y-Yman?” Ms. Pai looks suspicious at him. If not because of his familiar voice, she might think that he was a robber.
Suddenly, Ms. Pai's face turned grim when she noticed that the white T-shirt under the black jacket that Yman was wearing was stained by blood. No, it was almost all red. Even his face and mouth were stained by blood.
”Y-Yman are you o-okay?” Ms. Pai in wide eyes asked in panic while trying to grab Yman's T-shirt. But Yman jerked back a little out of reflex.
He forgot he was bloodied all over!
”Yman, you're hurt!!” Ms. Pai shouted.
”No no no, Ms. Pai. I am fine. I managed to use my healing ability in time.” Yman shook his hands in front of his face, then explained to ease her.
She sighed in relief but it was still visible on her face that she was worried. She could not tell if he was telling the truth because of the sunglasses he was wearing.
Ms. Pai was puzzled why Yman was in such attire. But did not choose to point it out. There was a more pressing issue in front.
Ms. Pai rolled her eyes to scan the room, and saw how messed up it was.
She opened her mouth, ”Hows Ya—” but she stopped when Yman said in haste, ”Regardless, Ms. Pai, I need your help. Yana had fainted.”
Her eyes widened and hastily forced her way inside then saw Yana on the sofa lying unconscious.
Yman asked Ms. Pai to excuse himself, he had to grab something outside. Although doubtful at him, she nodded somehow.
He directly ran towards the rooftop and jumped on the water tank to have a higher view.
At the distance, to where those riders went, he saw some smoke and fire in some of the buildings.
He also noticed some shouts and people were running around disorderly.
