Chapter 4：How rare (1/2)

Yman and Sistela didn't stop bantering until they arrived at a rundown apartment.

He was about to use the key when he noticed that it wasn't locked.

|She's here.| He thought. The door made a creaking noise when he pushed it. ”Yman, is that you?” asked by a voice from inside.

”Yes, Miss Pai, ” he replied.

A woman wearing an apron came out of the kitchen. On her hands were a bowl, a bowl of steaming porridge. A system deity was floating beside her. Based on her figure, she was in her 20's. She's pretty and sexy. She has chest-nut color and curly hair, which is shoulder length. She has beautiful eyes, and she stood at the height of 5”6. Same height as him.

”Oh, how's your evaluation exam...” She asked. But she suddenly paused when she noticed his figure. His clothes were tattered and wet. And all over his body were covered by mud and algae. ”Eh? What happened to you?” she surprisingly asked.

Yman scratched his head before opening his mouth.

”Aha-ha, after I got my partner, I went outside the town to earn points. But, I slipped in the pond area when I fought with a pale toad,” he said shyly.

”Kuku, it's good that you're fine, but don't be too rash next time. Your sister will be sad if something bad happened to you,” she said worriedly.

”Yes, Miss Pai, ” he responded.

”Clean yourself first.”

Yman nodded. He went to take a bath after putting in the kitchen the rice and vegetables he bought. He was grateful for her for taking good care of his sister when he's not around. For him, if it's not for Miss Pai, he doesn't know what might have happened to him and his sister. Maybe they were still wandering on the street and sleeping on the roadside. It's a good thing that he happened to help her in an incident. After that incident, she let him and his sister stay in this apartment free of rent.

Later on,

After washing his body and putting up new clothes, he went to his sister's room. Before pushing the door,

Cough! Cough! Cough!

He heard the coughing sounds of his sister behind the closed door. 'Sadness was written on his face. He wavered, and anxiety slowly crawled in his heart. Hearing her coughing voice, caused a piercing pain on him. He bit his lower lip and balled his hands.

If only he had a better source of income. He regretted being an unreliable brother.

Suddenly Sistela called out.

Pak! Pak! Pak!

He slightly slaps his face to regain his composure. Sistela was currently in his pocket, located at the chest area of his t-shirt. She can't fly or float yet. She could only learn those if he upgraded his deity. But of course, a price was needed to pay every upgrade. That thing wasn't in his mind at the moment. Currently, the most important to him was to heal his sister's illness.

The System Deity could feel what their owners felt. They were a super-intelligent system that was capable of feeling.

Creak!

He slowly pushes the door. His face wore a smile. In front of his sister, he needed to act cheerful.

After coming inside her room, he saw Miss Pai feeding his Sister with porridge. The two girls glanced at him. His sister Yana forces a smile after seeing him.

”Hello, Miss Pai, ” he bowed slightly in her direction.

”Come, ” she nodded and called out.

He slowly approached them and sat beside his sister's bed.

”How are you, Yana?” He asked with a smile.

”I feel better now because bro is here.”

”Mhm,” He nodded and patted his sister's head.

”How's your evaluation exam, bro?” she curiously asked in a weak voice.

”Huh, I've got a defective deity,” he said while gesturing can't be helped.
