”Sister-in-law, nice to meet you. We are all Jacob's friends,” one young man explained.

”Hello, you can call me Emily,” Emily replied with a grin.

The man who had first spoken scratched his head and said, ”We don't dare to call you by your name. Jacob will be angry.” He gave Jacob a sidelong glance as he spoke.

Everyone laughed at the clever joke. Even Emily's lips curved into a smile, and she took a few more looks at the young man.

Jacob, who had been watching Emily the whole time, naturally did not miss the change in her expression. Finally, he felt a little more relieved. Clearly, she could laugh more easily, indicating that her condition was improving.

But when he noticed that Emily's eyes lingered on that man, he felt a little jealous, and his face darkened unconsciously.

Soon, the air held a tint of jealousy.

”If you don't have anything else to do, you should leave now. Don't disturb us!”

”Yes, yes.” Seeing Jacob's shift in attitude, the young men didn't dare to stay any longer, and they quickly said goodbye. If the demon became angered, it would be terrible.

After they left, Jacob turned around and looked at Emily. ”Emily, your eyes should only look to your husband. You can't look at other men!” he said briskly.

”Jacob, don't learn from Ethan,” Emily helplessly chided him. He was a decisive and aloof man, but he could become so childish because of her. It would be a lie if she said she didn't feel touched. ”Besides, aren't they your friends?” Emily asked.

”Yes, but that makes no difference.”

Jacob's words were decisive, and Emily carefully observed him. Noting the serious look in his eyes, she didn't know whether to cry or to laugh.
