Chapter 1377 Bonnie Being Abducted (1/2)
”Oh, I see,” Bonnie answered dejectedly. She had detected the hesitation when Emily assured her that she wasn't ugly. It made her believe that Emily was only trying to be nice and had said it to comfort her.
She sat on the parterre, feeling extremely upset. Just as she made up her mind to continue job hunting, she received a call from a strange number.
Bonnie answered the phone immediately. When she heard the familiar voice on the other end of the line, she felt almost hypnotized. However, when she heard the words that followed over the phone, she wished she had never answered it.
”Mr. Yu, can't you be just a little bit more considerate of me? I'm not your nanny!”
It was Darren on the line. He had accused her as soon as the call connected, saying, ”How dare you run away again! This time, you ran off with my money!”
After Bonnie heard these words, she looked up, only to find that Darren was standing in front of her. He stood tall as he towered over her with the sunshine blinding behind his back. He wore a black hat, deliberately tucked low to cover his face.
Bonnie was sitting and therefore at a lower height than him, otherwise she wouldn't have recognized his face.
Even though he was disguised from head to toe and even wearing a hat, his lean figure was too handsome to be ignored. Many passers-by glanced at him with interest.
Bonnie's heart skipped a beat. She stood up, came over to him, and murmured, ”What are you doing here?”
”I'm here to take you back!” With those words, Darren snapped his fingers, and two men dressed in plain clothes appeared beside him. Without waiting for Bonnie's reaction, Darren immediately demanded, ”Do you want me to force you to come back, or will you come with me of your own will?”
”I'm not going with you,” Bonnie answered resolutely. With those words of defiance, Bonnie turned around and was about to walk back home.
Darren didn't become upset. He followed her and said, ”You know I'm a really bad man, don't you?”
Bonnie rolled her eyes at Darren and said, ”I didn't know that before, but now I know. Thank you for reminding me.”
Darren was stunned by Bonnie's harsh words. He looked around vigilantly. When he saw his men following closely behind him, he continued, ”So I will have to force you to come back with me! By whatever means necessary.”
”I won't go back!” Bonnie insisted.
