Early the next morning, Emily returned to the city apartment, Sanva Apartment.

She had intended to spend more time with Jacob, but she had also heard him say that Darren hadn't made any moves since Bonnie had escaped. This wasn't his style.

So, Emily wanted to go check on Bonnie as soon as possible. After all, she needed to know Bonnie's life details in order to track Darren down, even if it was unfair to Bonnie, since she had no idea about what was going on.

As soon as Emily opened the door, Bonnie, with Emi in her arm, hugged her with a friendly greeting. She seemed even happier than Emi to see Emily. She said quickly, ”Emily, you left in such a hurry yesterday. I feared you would not be back for a few days!”

Yesterday, Emily had looked off color. When she had said that she had to go home, Bonnie had not dared to ask her to stay, even though she also had been worried about that injured girl, Estelle.

Emily smiled and stroked Emi's head. ”Of course I would have come back as soon as I had sorted out my things.”

”Emily, I want to go for the interview at RD Hospital tomorrow. I don't want to waste any more time. Do you think I should get a new hairstyle at a salon today? Or buy some new clothes?” Bonnie was now responsible for her own future, especially now that she had lost touch with Darren. She wanted to put him behind her, leaving him in her past so that she could continue with a normal life.

She asked Emily's opinion because she felt uncertain. If Emily believed she could get appointed in RD Hospital, then she would try. If Emily wasn't confident in her, Bonnie would change her goal and find a new career.

”You should definitely try, of course. I think you are pretty enough, and you don't need to make any changes. Do you need me to go with you to the hospital?” Emily asked, intending to support Bonnie. She wanted to accompany Bonnie but was cautious lest Bonnie became suspicious of her over-enthusiasm.

As she had expected, Bonnie shook her head and refused. ”Thanks for the offer, Emily. I will go there by myself.”

”Okay. I'll wait for your good news tomorrow. Well...” Emily paused. ”Do you need me to give the hospital director a note before the interview?”

Bonnie shook her head and said firmly, ”No, no. I still prefer to be employed based on my own ability.”

Emily nodded in agreement.
