”No, I don't,” Darren answered curtly. ”I won't spend a cent on a woman as stupid as you.”

Bonnie glared at him, realizing that this man was excellent at ridiculing other people.

But his unexpected appearance in her life had completely changed the course of her life.

Bonnie was just an ordinary girl. After she had graduated from a nursing school, she had pursued her career as a nurse step by step. Her parents were both teachers in a small county, while her younger brother was studying in middle school. Her eyes darkened, and then she impulsively asked, ”Darren, where will you be going after your wound is healed?”

Darren stared at her expressionlessly. ”So, you can't wait to drive me away? Bonnie, you have a cruel heart.”

”I didn't say that.” Bonnie frowned and handed the sliced apple to him. ”I was merely asking. Your wound will recover soon. You are a rich man, and you can't stay here with me in this shabby shack for the rest of your life.”

After saying that, Bonnie's heart suddenly fluttered to a faster beat than usual. She did not know why she had suddenly said this.

Darren fell silent. She was suddenly embarrassed. 'Why doesn't he say something?' she wondered.

After a while, Darren saw that she was very embarrassed, and he could not help but sneer, ”Bonnie, you really are a cunning vixen. Were you trying to probe me?”

He had already figured out her character quite clearly during the time they had spent together.
