A look of impatience flashed on Carlos's face. ”Well, what are you going to do now? Stop me?”
Nora's eyes filled with sadness. Although she did not want Carlos to leave, she said, ”Since Auntie said so, you'd better go back. It's okay.”
Before working for the Li Family, Stuart had served Leah's family. He was of great importance and prestige in the Li Family, and so Nora dared not offend him.
”I'm so sorry, Miss Nora. Mrs. Leah has specifically asked that you do not call her 'Auntie.' Please do not refer to her that way next time.” Stuart looked at Nora through the rearview mirror as he spoke.
His words broke Nora's heart. She believed she had been humble and submissive enough, yet she still did not get the respect she thought she deserved. They really couldn't stand her.
Despite her growing anger, she kept her feelings in check. Carlos turned the other way. It was obvious that he was quite displeased and about to lose his temper. Enraged, he clenched his fists and pounded on the passenger's seat, shouting, ”Stuart, you'd better behave yourself or else...”
Stuart didn't even blink. He smiled calmly and said, ”Mr. Carlos, I'm only following Mrs. Leah's instructions. Please forgive me.”
