Chapter 1184 You Dont Have Much Time Left (1/2)
When Louis entered the ward, he noticed that Amy was looking at him with her big eyes widened.
”Sir, are you Beryl's uncle?”
Amy regarded Louis with big, round eyes filled with curiosity.
Louis nodded carefully. He looked at the girl lying on the bed and felt lost in the uncertain mix of emotions surging in his heart. His voice softened then.
”Yes, but we have met each other before!”
Amy seemed happy with his answer. They talked quite animatedly for a while. Taylor quietly observed them from the side as her heart struggled with a mix of undefinable emotions.
Amy had finally fallen asleep by the time that Louis left.
Taylor accompanied Louis to the door and said, ”Mr. Ke, I really appreciate what you did that day. How about we have dinner together another day? My treat.”
Taking a look at the closed door of the ward, Louis said in an indifferent tone, ”No need for that. No matter who was in need, I would have offered help!”
Taylor smiled with embarrassment and said nothing more.
She looked at Louis's departing figure. Then, Emily's face suddenly appeared in Taylor's mind, and her eyes gradually dimmed.
After Taylor came to see Emily that day, it seemed like all of Emily's symptoms had been more or less alleviated. Emily no longer heard any strange sounds, and she no longer had hallucinations of seeing Darren.
Jacob carefully monitored Emily, whose condition was getting better, and then gradually, he felt relieved.
One day, Rita took Dylan to visit Emily, but when Beryl saw Dylan, both of them turned their faces away, and they ignored each other.
Emily looked at them, confused. ”Beryl, what has happened between you and Dylan?”
”Nothing. I just don't want to talk to him!”
Emily looked at Dylan again. In the past, every time Beryl had been angry with him, he would have been the first to yield and come over to comfort her.
Seeing that Beryl was really angry, Rita quickly pulled her son to her side to rebuke him.
