Chapter 1153 Rays Affection (2/2)

Michelle was surprised by his excitement. Ray was as happy as a child and wasn't afraid of showing his true emotions to her.

”You have been living in my home for a while now. I don't have a problem with it. But do we really need to get married?” Michelle knew that she might never be able to fall in love with him, but he was the father of her baby nonetheless. As such, she had no intentions of keeping him away from her child.

”It does matter! It matters a lot, at least to me it does!” Out of the blue, Ray started to unbutton his shirt. As he was doing so, he said, ”I have a surprise for you! I planned to show it to you on the day of our wedding, but I just figured it would also be a good idea to use it for the marriage proposal.”

Michelle really didn't know what to do with him, so she moved to the side and left him enough space to do whatever he wanted. Michelle assumed he just wanted to get naked and give himself to her as a present.

Ray, however, took his time to get dressed. Just as he was ready to leave, he suddenly felt his right eye twitch involuntarily. He took it as a sign to alert him that something bad was going to happen. He stopped and turned around. He stood at the door of Michelle's house for a while in a pensive mood. Then, he bit his lower lip and walked away. Ray didn't know just how much he was going to regret this moment later on.

Love and Dream was due to have its first inspection for finished products, which was on the same day as Ray's shooting. Louis wanted to give Ray a ride, but Emily's water broke at the same time so he dropped everything and rushed to the hospital for her.

Jacob did the same. He left all his work in a heartbeat and put all his attention on his pregnant wife.

Although he received numerous phone calls, Jacob dismissed everyone by saying that his wife was going to have a baby. People were sick of hearing it, but they didn't dare to speak up to him.

”You can take care of that. Emily's water broke this morning. The doctor told me to expect the baby to come at this evening. If it is not an emergency, don't give me a call. I am going to be very busy after the baby arrives.”

Before the call ended, the person on the other end of the call taunted Jacob. ”Don't you think Jacob is a bit of too excited?”

Then, Jacob heard Ray's voice. ”Could you help me ask him what are good for the women to eat after they give the birth?”

The next second, the call was disconnected. Jacob didn't care about what anyone had to say about him. He loved Emily, and that was all that mattered to him. This was her big moment! Needless to say, Jacob was going to be by her side when the baby came. As he thought, he went back to be with Emily.
