If this had happened in the past, Michelle wouldn't have hesitated to throw the man out of the window. But she needed to be more careful now, especially since she was pregnant with the man's baby.

”You should thank the baby for saving your life.”

”I'm leaving tomorrow and I might be gone for at least a week. Let me just give you a hug.”

Ray had decided that he was going to do whatever it took to get a hug from Michelle. If Michelle sat on the couch, he would sit next to her and put his arms around her shoulders. If she lay on the bed, he would lie next to her. He was adamant and unyielding in his mission.

”Are you done?”

”Nope!”

Exasperated, Michelle brought the palm of her hand to her face and said, ”What time are you going tomorrow?”

Ray leaned on her and watched her, his fingers on her stomach, his face close beside her ear. His eyes softened, and he said, ”I need to shoot an advertisement for Love and Dream.”

He had never hidden anything from anyone about the things he had done for Emily. And he didn't plan on hiding anything from Michelle either.

Michelle, however, fell into a silence upon hearing that.

Judging by the way she looked, Ray assumed that she wasn't happy. When he raised his head up to look at Michelle, he caught her eyes staring at his hand. ”Get your hands off me!”

”Huh?” Ray had just realized that his hand had moved from her belly and landed on her chest.

”Well, what are you waiting for?”

Ray quickly drew his hand back and said, ”Michelle, our baby is probably as big as a little goldfish now. When are you going to marry me?”

”I haven't thought about it yet.”

”Wait? This is the first time you didn't bite my head off!” Ray was so excited that he almost jumped up in glee. ”Does that mean I have a chance now?”
