Chapter 1139 I Love You (1/2)

Michelle tried to make a sound, but she couldn't even move her lips.

”I am sorry about that, doctor. Please do as I say and don't worry about the cost. Do what you need to do to ensure the safety of both mother and child.”

Ray took advantage of Michelle's silence and blurted out everything to the doctor. His eyes reflected the determination in his heart as he pressured the doctor into agreeing with him.

”Okay, I will try my best,”

replied the doctor. When he noticed the blank expression on Michelle's face, he wanted to say something to her, but Ray gave him a cold glance, forcing him to step back and swallow the words inside his mouth. Eventually, the doctor agreed to help Ray, fearing for his own safety.

Without further ado, he quickly left the room and closed the door behind him.

”Are you feeling better now?”

Ray looked at Michelle affectionately. Michelle, however, raised her head and looked in the direction of the door from where the doctor had left. All of a sudden, tears fell from the corner of her eyes and ran down her cheeks, carrying nothing but hatred and resentment.

Michelle stared at Ray without even blinking.

It broke his heart to see her so sad and desperate. He sighed inwardly out of frustration and then sat down next to her. He took off his jacket and carefully put it over her shoulders, buttoning it up for her. Then, he pulled her close and let her lean on his firm chest.

”Your body still needs to recover. You should be more careful!”

”Don't think that I'm going to fall for your cheap lies. I will never forgive you!”

Michelle scoffed at him and reached out to grab her coat from the hanger, but Ray wrapped his arms around her.

Ray made sure that she couldn't move at all.

”It's not important for me to have your forgiveness,”

Ray finally spoke with a lofty demeanor.
