”What's the matter? Is Dylan not happy about it?”

Emily asked carefully, having noticed the change in Dylan's mood.

Rita smiled as she took Dylan's hand and pulled him closer, lovingly stroking his hair to the side.

He was going to have a sibling too, just like Beryl. Dylan had mixed feelings and he didn't know what to say.

In fact, he didn't want a baby brother. However, if he were to have a sister as lovely as Beryl, then perhaps he would be willing to make a compromise.

”Mom, can you give birth to a girl as lovely as Beryl?” Dylan looked up at Rita and asked innocently.

Dylan wanted to have a baby sister he could play with and look after.

”Okay. Then can I touch the baby?”

Dylan looked at Rita's belly with amazement as he thought about how he had come from the same place as well.

”Of course you can.” Rita put Dylan's small hand on her stomach and said, ”It's still too early. The baby hasn't grown big enough yet.”

Rita was only three months into her pregnancy and the fact that she was able to maintain a slim figure made it difficult to see her baby bump.
