Chapter 729 Youd Better Stay Away From Us (1/2)
Ancho woke up from this nightmare, covered in cold sweat and her breath came in short pants. Anger and frustration overwhelmed her for being affected by Emily even in her sleep.
Why did that woman have so much power over her?
No, she couldn't go on like this!
It had been days since they left the Tyrone Mansion and Jacob showed no concern about Beryl. If the baby Emily was carrying in her womb turned out to be a boy, what would Beryl do? And what about her?
The coldness of fear fanned her face as all kinds of unpleasant thoughts filled her head. The feeling of not being in control arouse anxiety, stress and apprehension in her heart.
As her fear got the best of her, she could no longer stay in the hotel. She gathered her necessities in a bag and quickly left for the Tyrone Mansion in a taxi.
Ancho made sure to bring Beryl's ID card with her so she could pass through the gates easily. When she arrived at the gate of the villa, she shouted at the top of her lungs to draw Jacob's attention.
Much to her surprise, even though, she assumed that Jacob would be unwilling to see her, she was soon received by a maid who guided her from the gate all the way to the main hall of the house.
Silhouetted against the bright light, was a man walking towards her with his hands clasped behind his back. His tall figure emitted a powerful and domineering aura that intimidated her.
”Mr. Jacob.” Ancho felt nervous, for reasons unknown to her, ”Aren't you wondering how Beryl is doing? She spends every day feeling upset and lonely. I'm afraid it is having a bad effect on her mental condition...”
Jacob stopped, then he turned around to face her and sneered, ”Aren't you responsible for all of this?”
”Mr. Jacob, how could I hurt Beryl? I love her so much... You and Mrs. Emily have gone too far this time. How could you not accept your own daughter?”
Ancho's voice rose on its own accord, expressing her anger.
However, Jacob didn't believe a word of what she had said. ”What the hell do you really want? Just tell me, you don't have to beat around the bush and waste my time.”
