Emily became much better since Beryl came to accompany her. At least now she didn't act like a puppet.

Time flew and Emily had been in the hospital for almost a month. It was time for her to get discharged.

Jack wanted to take Emily to his villa but he did not know how to persuade her.

At this moment, a couple entered the hospital.

Of course, Jack did not like them at all. On the contrary, Emily was quite fond of Rita and David. They were the best friends of Emily and Jacob.

In truth, Jack hated everyone who was connected to Jacob. Emily was the only exception. However, in order to impress Emily, Jack decided to treat them well.

David never expected Jacob would leave this world so soon. As soon as he heard about it, he was certain it had something to do with Jack. 'You are not going to last long, Jack! As soon as I collect the proof, you are dead!' David thought in his mind.

Soon Jack's subordinates came to hold David down so that he would stop attacking Jack. Jack sneered at Jacob's best friend with a mocking smile.
