Chapter 28 Years Of Stalking (1/2)
”If you're to allegedly hire me as a worker, I solemnly promise to raise your profits by ten-percent more of what they currently are,” Mimi spoke confidently. ”Of course, I, a woman of her word can provide proof of my capabilities.”
Passing a tan folder to the man across from her, Mimi leisurely sits back in her chair anticipating his response. Inside the tan folder that now rested in the hands of the sitting cross-legged businessman Tobias Itou, were trading strategies.
They included new improved technology designed by Mimi herself over the past couple of years - of course, no one else knew that.
Not able to hide his surprise through his indifferent eyes, he quietly read through the folder's contents.
With a finger rested over his mouth, he swept his dark eyes towards the young girl in front of him then back at the folder.
Sighing, the man unfolds his legs and places the file down on the table.
”How much will you need?” Tobias asked.
”A simple amount of possibly...ten million,” Mimi grinned. ”I doubt that amount will dent your paycheck.”
Seeing that Mimi's words became bolder by the minute, a part of Tobias was amused nonetheless intrigued to find out more about her.
For the first time, his curiosity was seeping out from his hard cold shell.
However, the man continued to show an indifferent unreadable expression.
Unaware of the thoughts going through the man's head Mimi patiently waited for his response.
In all honesty, Mimi wasn't one-hundred-percent confident Tobias would accept her proposal.
One, being she was basically a business owner. A competition. Although she knew the man didn't care for mere competition, that didn't differ him from thinking about other things. Such as borrowing a large sum of money to make her plan work.
Nothing suspicious about asking an elite businessman for ten-million dollars.
Second, would be the most obvious known factor.
Her age.
Despite being successful in making her own company, which Tobias knew and viewed for himself, her capabilities to work under others wasn't certain.
She hadn't clung too much hope in this idea, therefore she expected him to disagree.
In the end...
”Alright,” Tobias said.
....
He actually agreed?!
Blinking rapidly at the man before her, Mimi wondered if perhaps on his way over he underwent some sort of brain injury.
But upon observing his appearance, she found he was void of any injuries, scars, or blemishes!
The truly was one of God's most extraordinary works.
”Don't you obtain a full supply of workers though?” Mimi asked with raised eyebrows.
”I can always fire someone,” Tobias said emotionlessly.
Mimi blinked at the man with shock.
He definitely underwent some sort of injury...or amnesia. Maybe both?
