Chapter 32 - The Eclipse Dragons Faith (1/2)
Ryūsei manages to rescue Catherine in time as the ground beneath them was shattered.
”Are you alright??” Ryūsei asked as he slowly drops Catherine. ”I think so.... I'm sorry for being careless Grandpa” Catherine replied.
The Corrupted Elementalist suddenly roared as the sight of Catherine pissed him off as soon as he roared he suddenly launched an assault to Catherine.
But before he could hit Catherine, Ryūshi manages to kick the Corrupted Elementalist at the face and knocking him back to a nearby rock.
”Ryūsei, Get Catherine out of here!!! The Corrupted Elementalist is after her” Ryūshi yelled as he draws out the sword he just bought.
The Corrupted Elementalist then began to roar once again and soon a rainbow sphere on his mount as a tremendous amount of energy began to gather.
”That attack...” Ryūshi was then shocked on what he is seeing. ”Everyone get away from the Corrupted Elementalist hurry” Ryūshi yelled as he quickly both grabs Ryūsei and Catherine as they distance themselves from the Corrupted Elementalist.
The Rainbow sphere then exploded releasing a shock wave around them hitting anything in it's path.
Lucky thanks to Ryūshi, Ryūsei and Catherine weren't hit from the shockwave.
”What was that??” Ryūsei asked. ”The Rainbow sphere it showed earlier, That was Jikan's spell” Ryūshi replied.
”That spell release a shockwave around the caster that once you get hit, It messes the flow of time around you” Ryūshi added as he is now treating the Corrupted Elementalist a threat.
”What do you mean by ”It messes the flow of time?”.” Ryūsei asked. ”Take a good look at the wounded Elementalist over there” Ryūshi replied.
Ryūsei then looks at the injured Elementalist from earlier which was unfortunate as he didn't dodge the Rainbow blast. He's body was rapidly aging as the blast release drained the remaining time it has in the living world.
His hair turned white, His body suddenly turned thin until he was thin as if he was rotting inside.
”Catherine, Go back to the inn now” Ryūsei yelled as he was still horrified on what he just witnessed.
”But I can't just leave you here-” Catherine complain before Ryūsei yelled once more. ”Go!!! I can't risked your safety, Don't worry me and Ryūshi can handle this”
It was the first time Catherine saw his Grandfather like this so she didn't argue any further and she quickly headed back to the inn.
”I'm sorry but I can't let you go near her” Ryūsei then casted a spell and a sword made of light appeared in his hand.
”C-C.... Catherine!!!!!! Catherine!!!!” The Corrupted Elementalist then began yelling. He kept roaring and roaring releasing a tremendous amount of shockwaves.
The Corrupted Elementalist was out of control he went totally berserk, Explosions occuring left and right with Ryūsei and Ryūshi tried to hold him off.
Catherine continued to run but no matter the distance between them she kept hearing the explosions.
”Grandpa..... Ryūshi.... I hope you'll be okay” Catherine muttered as she continues to head back to the inn.
After a while of running, She manages to arrive at the town and the minute she arrived there were a lot of Elementalist outside.
It turns out the explosions and the roars coming from the hills were still heard even if your still in the village which startled most of the Elementalist.
They quickly gathered and began heading towards the mountain where Ryūsei and Ryūshi were fighting.
Catherine then quickly rushes back to the in where she saw Jikan, Yuki, Kasai, and Sora gathered inside one room.
”Catherine where have you been??? And where's Ryūshi and Ryūsei.” Jikan quickly asked.
”What's going on out there??? We were sleeping in our rooms then suddenly we heard a loud roar and explosions started to occur” Kasai asked.
Yuki then notices a wound on Catherine's knee, It turns out when she was running back she fell down and hurt her knee.
”We were patrolling in the mountains when we suddenly heard a yell. Me, Grandpa and Ryūshi quickly went to where the yell was coming from....” Tears then fell from Catherine's eye. ”We found the Corrupted Elementalist and right now..... Grandpa and Ryūshi are fighting it” Catherine then fells down to her knees as she continues to cry.
”Hey hey, There's no need to cry” Yuki then began to hug Catherine. But at that moment Jikan fell down and Kasai quickly catches him.
”The timeline..... it's drastically changing” Jikan said as he was exhausted. ”C-C-Catherine..... You're fading...” Yuki then began to worry.
”This is bad, If the timeline changes completely, Catherine you'll disappear from this world. We need to defeat the Corrupted Elementalist before that happens.” Jikan then slowly gets up as he slowly approaches her. ”Take me to Ryūsei and Ryūshi, Hurry” Jikan then fell to the floor once again.
”Jikan, I'm sorry to say this but Crowned Dragon or not, You are in no condition to fight like that.” Yuki then slowly yells.
”You Ryūgū's are annoying” Jikan muttered. ”Ryūshi and Ryūsei need my help, The Corrupted Elementalist imitated my Elemental Art and Ryūshi can't use his, They're already at a disadvantage.” Jikan replied.
”That's why were going there all together” Yuki then breaks the hug and stands up. ”I'm sure everyone here feels the same way, They all want to help, We don't want you to disappear” She then looks at Catherine and smiles.
”Well Ryūsei can't have all the fun to himself” Kasai happily said. ”I'll be sure to do my best to help you Catherine” Sora happily smiled.
Catherine began to feel overwhelmed as they were willing to put their lives in danger for her. They quickly went outside and headed off to the mountains.
They quickly ran, Jumping from tree to tree, Dashing and running as quickly as they can to the open fields where the fight is going on. But unfortunately the closer they got the more horrific events took place.
They arrived at the plains and it was a horrific site to see, Dozens of Elementalist were kill, A few died after aging so fast and the worst part of it all..... Ryūsei was covered with blood while Ryūshi was doing his best to protect the surviving Elementalist.
