Chapter 31 - A Glimpse In Time (1/2)

As Ryūsei, Catherine, Jikan and Ryūshi finish up with their little snack break.

They immediately went back to the fencing exercise and like before, Ryūsei got his b.u.t.t kicked again.

”This is to hard!!!!” Ryūsei complained as he continues to lay on the ground.

”Well there's no easy way to get stronger Ryūsei, Everyone had to train themselves hard to surpass there limits” Ryūshi happily said as he helps Ryūsei to get up.

”Even you guys??” Ryūsei asked. Ryūshi then smiled and said ”Yup even us, We trained ourselves to the limit like this in order for us to use our Crowned Gear”.

”Crowned Gear???” Ryūsei then asked ”What's that” He added as he's still new to this Crowned Dragon thing.

”Our Crowned Gears are what you call our Elemental Weapons, The only difference is that the Crowned Gears were crafted by us using a fragment of our Legendary Dragons.” Jikan replied. ”The Dragon King's Blade is an example of a Crowned Gear” Jikan added.

”We don't normally use our Crowned Gears due to the drawbacks of it” Ryūshi muttered as he scratch his head.

”Drawbacks???” Ryūsei asked. ”Try holding the Dragon King's Blade and see for yourself” Jikan then points his fingers to the Dragon King's Blade.

Ryūsei then grabs the sword but nothing happens. ”Nothing happened, Are you sure this thing isn't busted.”

Ryūsei asked.

”Try removing the scabbard” Jikan replied as he continues to lay on the grass. ”Wait Ryūsei!!! Don't remove the scabbard!!!” Ryūshi shouted but unfortunately Ryūsei didn't listen.

Ryūsei then removed the scabbard and the moment he does he immediately felt light headed. And suddenly he fainted.

”Grandpa!!!!” Catherine shouted as he then rushes to Ryūsei. ”Jikan!!! Why did you told him that” Ryūshi then glares at Jikan.

”You don't have to worry Catherine, He just fainted from Fatigue” Ryūshi said as he then heals Ryūsei. ”Just let him get some rest”

”Oh by the way, There's something you should know” Jikan then slowly gets up and approaches near Ryūshi.

”What is it??” Ryūshi asked. ”It's about the Corrupted Elementalist, After the Fallen God attacked, I suddenly sense the presence of the Corrupted Elementalist in a glimpse before it disappeared again” Jikan replied.

”Where did you sense it” Ryūshi asked as he then suddenly created a map of the entire Elemental World.

”Here in the boarder between the Kingdom of Ryūgū and the Western Temple, The Llanto Hills” Jikan then slowly goes back to the grass area to lay down.

”What should we do then??” Ryūshi asked. ”We should strike now, As early as possible” Jikan replied.

”I don't know how long I can keep the timeline from changing” Jikan added as both Ryūshi and Catherine were shocked.

”So that explains why your mana keeps on decreasing each day” Ryūshi then slowly approaches Ryūsei. ”How long can you keep the timeline at bay??” Ryūshi asked as he then suddenly heals Ryūsei and he slowly wakes up.

”What happened??” Ryūsei asked.

”You fainted from fatigue, I wasn't supposed to heal you for you to learn your lesson of not rushing training but circ.u.mstances have suddenly changed” Ryūshi replied.

”Grandpa, They've tracked down my classmate..... Chad” Catherine saddly said.

”Is there something bothering you Catherine??” Ryūsei asked as he noticed that Catherine wasn't smiling like she used to.

Ryūshi then said ”Ryūsei.... I think you should also know”. ”Know what???” Ryūsei asked as he didn't know what's going on. ”Did something happen when I was passed out??” He continually asked.

”Ryūsei, The Timeline has began to change drastically, But thanks to Jikan continually restoring it back to the way it was before, If we don't do something the future might change.” Before Ryūsei can react to what Ryūshi just said, Jikan suddenly got up with him out of breath.

”Jikan!!!!” Ryūshi shouted as he rushes over to Jikan. Ryūsei was about to go near Jikan to see what's happening when he suddenly heard Catherine screaming. ”Grandpa!!!” She screamed.

Ryūsei then looks behind him and he was then shocked on what he saw....

Catherine was slowly fading away.

”Time Dragon Continuum Restore”

Jikan then casted a spell and Catherine then stop fading.

”There... that should keep the timeline at bay for the moment” Jikan said as he was exhausted.

Catherine then began to cry and Ryūsei hugged her. ”Hey... hey, Don't be scared I promise we'll fixed this so don't cry now.... You won't disappear” Ryūsei then comforts Catherine.

”Ryūshi, Please open up a warp gate let's return back to the Kingdom” Ryūsei said. ”Before that, Conceal the sword first” Ryūshi said as he gives Ryūsei The Dragon King's Blade.

”Conceal???” Ryūsei asked. ”The Dragon King's Blade has already an enchantment around it in which if you conceal it, It'll turn into a ring” Ryūshi replied.

”Just say these words, ”Dragon King Secret Art: King's Blade Conceal” Ryūshi said and once he did Ryūsei said the exact same words and it suddenly turned in a black ring with a blue dragon crest at the top.

”And for you to turn it back into a sword, Just say ”Dragon King Secret Art: King's Blade Release” Ryūshi added.

After Ryūsei concealing the blade and putting the black ring on his finger they walked over to the Quartz Bridge and once they crossed it Ryūshi created a warp gate and they returned back to the castle.

They were inside the room where the Fallen God recently attack. Ryūsei then looked at the clock nearby and it was already 1 am.

They immediately went to Ryūsei's room to pack up some stuff for the journey.

”The Corrupted Elementalist is located in the Llanto Hills” Ryūshi said as Ryūsei finishes packing up his stuff.

”We should move out now-” Ryūsei said before he was cut with a familiar voice behind them.

”And where do you think you're going??”

Ryūsei then turns around and he saw Yuki, Kayosha, Kasai and Sora.
