79 Huge Appetite (1/2)

Jiang Huan closed the door to the office.

She only felt a fraction of the guilt she had felt yesterday. Jiang had come to the conclusion that the only way she could get time off was to lie to Dr. Li. She couldn't very well ask Dr. Li for a day off so she could go on a date with her hot rescuer.

Jiang Huan told herself it would be fine to take a little time off on Tuesday if she just worked overtime for the next few days. Besides her time off wasn't really effecting anyone anyway.

She messaged Tang Tingzhe. 'We're on for Tuesday! I can't wait to see you!”

Tang Tingzhe message: 'I'll be counting down the seconds until I can gaze into your mesmerizing eyes once more.”

Jiang Huan swooned and held her phone to her chest. She started day dreaming about her date with Tang Tingzhe.

Jiang Huan was happily treading deeper into the rabbit hole. So far she had only told a few lies but in the future who knows what else she would be willing to do.

12:20 pm

Li Xiuying was making her way out of theater 11. She had completed three arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and one removal of a metal plate from the clavicle.

Li Xiuying entered the changing room and was getting changed when she received a message.

Little 4th's message: 'Big Sister YingYing. I've ordered lunch for you and reserved a table.”

Li Xiuying paused as she read the message. 'Who is little 4th with?'

Li Xiuying messaged back '8 minutes'

She finished getting dressed and made her way to the canteen.

Li Xiuying looked around the canteen until she spotted a little bun waving at her. He had chosen one of the best tables in the canteen. It was in a corner next to the window so there were rays of sunlight streaming through.

Qin Song and Qin Jingfei were also sitting at the table.

Li Xiuying mentally prepared herself to face the man who was the poster boy for creating misunderstandings. She reluctantly made her way to the table and sat next to little 4th. Qin Song was sitting directly opposite her.

Little 4th: ”Big Sister YingYing I've ordered you hot and sour noodle soup. I asked them to bring it over when you arrived so it wouldn't get cold.”

Li Xiuying patted the little buns head: ”Thank you.”

Qin Jingfei: ”How was your morning?”

Li Xiuying: ”Unremarkable. Meeting?”

Qin Jingfei was starting to hate the word meeting: ”It was fine. I left so early this morning I had an extra 45 minutes to prepare for it.”

Little 4th sniggered and Qin Song's lip twitched a little.

A few moments later some canteen staff brought over their lunch order.

Li Xiuying: ”Thank you.”

Qin Jingfei: ”Thank you for catering to our little 4th's whims. We know that this isn't part of your usual job.”

The two staff members: ”No problem, we just couldn't refuse the request of such an adorable child.”

Little 4th: ”Thank you aunties.” He flashed them a big smile.

The two staff members gushed and giggled as they left.

Everyone at the table began eating

Qin Song flicked a glance at Li Xiuying every now again. ”She doesn't eat like the women who are usually around me.”

Li Xiuying stopped eating her noodles and looked at Qin Song. Qin Jingfei and Little 4th also stared at Qin Song.

Qin Song realized he had spoken his inner thoughts out loud.
