28 Hide And Seek (2/2)
As soon as it reaches for my face, I throw my last three marbles in its face and let go. As I fall, the demon possed man comes crashing through the ceiling right behind me. Harris and the other two in the cell start yelling and screaming as the demon screeches in pain.
When I hit the ground below, I quickly roll out of the way, just seconds before the demon lands hard on the ground. It thrashes back and forth in pain as I struggle to get out of the way and stand. When Harris goes to unlock the cell, I quickly put my hand up and say ”Not yet!”
I see Harris' eyes grow large a split second before I'm tackled hard! The demon rams me into the cell as it screams in my face by its mangled mouth. Its mouth hangs on by a little bit of skin left on its jaw and neck but with just a little tug, the thing would come clean off.
Black blood shoots out all over my chin and neck as it says ”I was sent to kill you, bitch and that's what I'll do!!” Because this isn't its real body, the voice isn't affected by not having a working jaw or tongue but what he says has me pausing.
Sent to kill me? Why? By who?? It keeps me pinned against the cell with one hand and lifts the other to dig out my heart. I grab its right hand with both of mine and struggle to hold it back as Harris suddenly starts shooting it in the face from behind me.
I'm gonna be deaf by the end of this!!! The bullets don't seem to affect it at all as it continues to struggle against me. I hate possessions and demons!!! ”Who sent you!?” I ask through gritted teeth as more of the ceiling above us begins to fall.
It snarls at me and tries to snap its teeth at me but all he manages to do is jiggle his bottom jaw a little. Demons are strong but when they possess a human? They become almost impossible to kill! It suddenly pulls me away from the cell before slamming me back into it.
I growl slips out from me and I pray that Harris and the others don't hear it. ”Who. Sent. You. Demon!!?” I yell as the ceiling above us completely collapses. Cold rain comes falling through the hole as Harris and the other cops try to keep the demon from slamming me against the cell over and over again but they're no match against the strength of a demon.
Harris and the others try to hold onto my shirt but as the demon pulls me back again, my shirt rips! My eyes begin to glow and my teeth begin to elongate as I glare at the demon before me and he's momentarily surprised.
”So this is why...” He says with a burst of chilling laughter. The lightning from the storm lights up the whole room, basking him in a hideous light with half his face melted/blown off. ”I will rip your heart out and dine on it in front of these humans. Letting them enjoy the show before I eat them too!”
He slams me back into the cell, causing me to grunt in pain as the bars begin to bend. Harris and the others look at us with shock and horror as I try to use my magic again. My hands wrapped around his right wrist start to glow as my eyes burn brighter but his hand keeps getting closer and closer!
