10 First Day at New House (2/2)

Ana was sitting in front of me, I was trying to avoid looking at her because if I would have seen her then my face would have become red and my mom would have read the situation.

That was an awkward lunch, I asked Ana to pass spaghetti and other food items many times but I didn't looked at her ones.

Then to avoid more awkward situations I went straight to my room and started studying. Both our moms went to the office to continue there shift. Since today they went late, my mom said

”Will you cook your dinner today by yourself?

For the sake of change we both will have our dinner outside. ”

Since, I and my mom stayed alone so there were many instances where I made my dinner on my own. From there on I started cooking, I loved to cook on weekends and was pretty skilled. My mom always said

' Do you want to become a chef, your cooking skills are pretty good and sometimes you cook better than me. '

Then I said ” Don't worry mom, I'll cook my dinner. ”

But then she replied,” Ask Ana what she wants to eat, and go buy the groceries.”

I then realized that I had to cook for Ana as well, she started living with us and then for no reason I was all nervous.

In my mind I had only one thought, I will be having my dinner alone with Ana.

Will that be called as a dinner date?

Just thinking about that made my heart throb but then I supressed my feelings and started thinking about what to make today.

I went upstairs and from outside asked Ana what will she like to eat,

She replied ” Don't worry about me, I'll go buy a microwave meal from the shop.”

” Don't talk rubbish, do you know how unhealthy microwave meals are.

It's necessary to have a well balanced meal for a young girl like you.”

I said all that like I was some kind of nanny.

She went quiet, I don't know what she was thinking but then she suddenly said,

”Okay fine, do whatever you want. But don't overdo it. ”

She said all that in a low but in a rebellious tone.

I then thought, I was just worried about her but she doesn't have to say like that.

Inside the room, Sally was sleeping and Ana was studying, then suddenly Ana could listen the sound of Kevin from the outside saying ” I will make the dinner today, what do you want to eat .”

Listening to that Ana was first surprised, she thought

'Can Kevin really cook?

I can't imagine him cooking.

But I would like to taste his cooking'

then she realized already Mrs Eliza is doing a favor by letting them leave in there house and now Kevin is offering me dinner.

I don't want to be a burden on them. '

She then replied,

” Don't worry about me, I'll go buy a microwave meal from the shop.”

Then Kevin replied, ” Don't talk rubbish, do you know how unhealthy microwave meals are.

It's necessary to have a well balanced meal for a young girl like you.”

After listening that Ana was embarrassed, he thought what is he, my nanny.

But then she realized that before this when her mom worked late at the office, there was no one who asked her to have dinner.

She always bought a microwave meals and ate with Sally. Even Sally stopped nagging about the meal after some time.

After listening to Kevin, she was emotionally happy.

She then replied,

”Okay fine, do whatever you want. But don't overdo it. ”

She said that with a slight rebellious tone so that Kevin don't understand what she really felt inside her heart.

Inside she was really happy that Kevin was making dinner for her.
