7 Coffee with Richy (1/2)

Ana left the park with a different smile than usual.

It was my first time seeing Ana smile like that, I didn't know the reason for that smile.

Then I and Ria also headed back to attend our lectures.

After the lectures were done Ria went for sports practice. She was the captain of the track team in her school days and in college she joined the track team.

I was also heading back home because I knew that Ana was also busy with her tennis practice so I won't be able to meet her after lectures. As I was heading back I heard a voice coming from the back,

”Kevvy, wait for me. I'll tag along with you on the way home.” Richy said that while running towards me.

Since I knew that Richy saw us in the library so now there was no point in hiding things from him. I said, ” Okay, let's say go home together.”

It actually never happened before, Richy was quite the whole time.

But then suddenly he said,

” let's go to a coffee shop, I want to talk something with you. ”

I was pretty sure he was going to ask about Ana.

We went inside The Busy Bean cafe. It was a popular place but at that time of day, it was not so jam-packed. We sat there and gave our order. I ordered for a hazelnut flavoured Latte and Richy ordered an espresso.

We were then waiting for orders to arrive then suddenly Richy said, ” Are you and Ria dating?”

I was stunned I thought he will ask, who was the girl you were sitting with but his question was totally different.

I replied ” No, I am not dating Ria. She is just a good friend. You already know Ria, I already introduced both of you.”

He suddenly became angry and said

” Either you are a playboy who plays with the emotions of girls, or you are just brainless. ”

I got mad, ” what are you talking about, just explain it to me what the fuck did I just do”

Now all the sudden Richy was calm, he said ” You are the later one, ”

” What?”

He said ” You are just too dense to understand the situation. ”

I started getting irritated. I said ” Explain me properly. ”

Our coffee was then arrived, he took up his espresso.

He then stirred his espresso slowly moving the teaspoon from the top to the bottom of the cup, without touching it and without stirring it in a circular motion as someone would do while cooking polenta.

He kept the teaspoon aside on the table and picked up the coffee cup with the right hand while firmly holding saucer in the left hand.

He then took a sip of his coffee silently, without emitting strange sounds and then kept his cup of coffee back on the saucer in a polite way, while taking care that he don't make noise.

I was surprised seeing all this and said

” Dude, you have got some etiquettes. What are you, a nobility?”
