6 Panic at Library (1/2)
When I saw Ria standing at the gate I was surprised, but I guess Ria was the one who was more surprised seeing me there with Ana. At that time Ana was telling me something but I was not paying her attention, I was looking at Ria's face.
That day I easily read all the emotions from her face. I never saw her like that before, she had mixed emotions of despair and anger.
I was not sure why she was in that condition or what was her state of mind.
But then I could see a tear rolling down her cheek. All that happened in less then 5 secs and at that moment I felt like time was moving really slow. I was able to read all those emotional changes easily like I was some kind of clairvoyant.
As I was just going to stand and call out her name she turned around, kept the book on a table and ran out of the library while wiping her tears.
I got tensed, I thought what the hell did I just do that she went mad again.
When she ran out of the library without saying a word, I got worried and just got up from the bench,
as I suddenly got up from the bench Ana was surprised
she said ” What happened? ”
I said ” Nothing, I just remembered I got some important work to do so I have to go now. I'll meet you later. Bye!”
Ana was going to reply to me but I ran from there. I stopped at the gate, turned back and waved at Ana. I could see that she was pissed because I didn't tell her the reason for leaving. But I was in a hurry because if I wasted any more time I would have surely missed Ria.
I then went to the counter, issued the book that Ria left on the table and ran after her. While leaving the library I saw Richy there, I then thought 'he might be there the whole time and worst case be that he saw me sitting with Ana. '
At that time my mind was about to burst firstly Ria saw me with Ana and for some reason, she ran out of the library then Ana got pissed probably for not telling her the reason for why I left and then there was Richy who saw me with Ana exacerbating the situation. At that time my mind got so heavy that I was about to daze out, but I kept running after Ria.
I was running like crazy in the corridor holding that thick physics book while searching around for Ria. I could not find her anywhere, my anxiousness increased. But then I remembered she once told me that whenever she is really upset, she just goes sits under a tree and eats ice cream. I ran towards the park and
Yes, she was sitting under a tree.
I didn't know the reason but she looked really depressed. I went there and asked ”Ria! Why you suddenly ran out of the library. Do you know how worried I was ?”
Her eyes were red although she was not crying anymore, then she said ” Who was that girl! Why didn't you tell me that you got a girlfriend?
Tell me the truth, the reason you wanted to come to the library was that you wanted to meet her didn't you?
You left me alone on the ground floor for searching book while you went to the economics floor to meet her. ”
” Hey hey wait. Calm down, I went to the first floor because of some other reason and also she is not my girlfriend. ”
” Don't tell lies, I saw both of you were so close and were whispering something. Also you two looked so happy while talking to each other and now in front of me you are saying that you are not in a relationship, ” she said all that in *low and melancholic tone*
I then replied ” I am not telling lies, she is really not my girlfriend. You can ask her if you want ”.
”You will not bring her in front of me ” she replied to me.
Suddenly I saw Ana coming towards us
I was all tensed for no reason. She came and said ” Kevin you forgot your book on the table, I thought it might be important for you so I issued it.
Also, you are a science student aren't you, so why were you searching for Psychology book in our department. ”
”Are you Kevin's Girlfriend? ” Ria said that suddenly.
Ana was surprised and her cheeks started getting red and I was embarrassed as hell what did she just said in front of Ana.
Ana then said, ” What are you talking about, we are nothing like that you know.”
