Chapter 3 (2/2)

Pah! Chu Han fiercely spat out the meat and pyemia. He nearly swallowed them. He often did this in the previous incarnation because he was too busy to be hygienic during a fight, but his virus resistance was not that strong.

Energy was consumed rapidly and his weak body seemed to be adapting after killing three zombies. Chu Han fought with great skills and the memories of fighting he had superimposed with his current actions.

Chu Han became braver in fighting when the will to survive and find his family became firmer. A normal ax was being wielded lively. Dozens of zombies were eliminated and they piled up at the entrance. The head of the last one was directly broken through by the ax.

Chu Han gasped greatly and he looked around, holding the ax tightly. Although the corridor was dim, he confirmed that this floor was clear without zombie since they were not clever enough to hide themselves. The sound of doors banging could be heard occasionally as the zombies displayed their excitement when listening to any noise in the corridor.

He stepped through the pile of zombies and headed to the stairs. He can’t just kill zombies every time he met them. It was important to save physical strength in order to survive. Besides, there were no humans in the rooms if there were zombies that were hitting the door. There were two reasons: one was that the human had been eaten by a zombie and the other one was that they had been transformed into a zombie after being infected.

Even then, he would pay no attention to living people since they were afraid of opening the door when listening to such a huge commotion, he was not that kind of a person.

Chu Han’s dormitory was on the third floor and he tried to reduce the sound of his footsteps. He came to the ground floor whilst killing five zombies on the stairs. The time of eschatology was at 6 a.m. The dormitory attendant had yet to open the dormitory door so there was still a big lock securing the iron door. The attendant had been transformed and she was just walking around her house like an idiot.

Chu Han knew that he doesn’t have enough power to cleave the iron lock. Besides, the noise would attract lots of zombies. He could also see the walking zombies out of the gate and they would throw themselves at any fresh flesh, even the blood on the ground. They would lick with their nasty tongue greedily.

He could only go to the house of the attendant to get the key if he wanted to open the gate. However, there was a big problem if the door was locked from the inside.

Suddenly, Chu Han had a good idea. He could find an unlocked room and climb out from the window. He stuck to the corner of the wall to listen to the sounds in the corridor. According to his experience, there might be approximately ten zombies on this floor.

Chu Han stretched his head to observe the environment.

Abruptly, a zombie appeared from the room opposite of him. It smelled with its nose and then an excited glint appeared in its eyes. The yellowish green saliva flew everywhere from its mouth. It opened its mouth and roared, heading to Chu Han.

While Chu Han was happy since the opened door was such a short distance from him but he could only repeat what he had done just now to reduce the danger.

The speed of a zombie who was just infected was slower than human being so he could definitely make it.

He had no hesitation and just run crazily. He took the chance to enter the room and stood at the entrance when he confirmed that the room was safe.

The series of action was so smooth. Although his strength and speed were weaker than his previous incarnation, he still retained the experience and fighting skills. When he ran into the dormitory and chose a good position, the zombie turned around and rushed at him while roaring. He wielded the ax and killed it!

Puff! The head of the zombie was split by the ax and the brain fluid flowed for a while before the zombie died on the spot.

Chu Han waved the arms which showed the symptom of tiredness and then pulled out the ax which was stuck into the skull.

The noise attracted another nine zombies. He did not close the door and left directly but stood behind the entrance quietly. The muscles of his arms were tense and he prepared the ax when the zombies were in front of him.

Banging noises reverberated continuously and even as his strength was slightly depleted, Chu Han was still calm and composed. After a short while, he finally killed all the zombies.

Next, Chu Han pulled out the sucker of the water pack in his backpack. He drank the water inside slowly. It should be appreciated that the intelligence of human being was so high to create such a convenient thing. He took the ax after drinking and went to the corridor from the room.

Although he was trained with an iron heart in those ten years, he did not become a frenzied person without morality. He still kept the nature that human being should have. Although he could not help everyone in danger, he would leave some convenience for the people in the dormitory with the best of his ability.

He was not afraid of zombies as he was rebirthed and he also knew the rules for survival. Others would be at loss for this would be their first time experiencing this. Human beings were social animals and only by getting together would they dare brave the crisis.

Most of the zombies outside listened to the noise in the room and they gathered outside of the iron gate to with gray arms stretched, exposing the bones. They tried to crowd in through the gate. They did not feel any pain and the rotten meat of some zombies was crushed when squeezed too hard. The pieces of meat were hung on their body and the dark blood was also stuck on the gate.

The s.p.a.ce between Chu Han and the gate was only several meters yet it was filled with zombies. He ignored the growlings and just lined up the bodies of dead zombies from stairs. He lined them to the door of room 104. He found a marker pen in the room and wrote down on the door----here is the exit and the door is unlocked.

A normal human would think the zombie line was weird when they saw the gate was locked. Although it was scary and ugly, it was obviously artificial. They would be able to escape if they saw it. Chu Han did not run too fast when leaving the building. He paid attention to the surrounding and moved along the wall. Although the zombies were just a few at the beginning of the eruption, it did not mean that there were none. Being cautious at any time was what he had learned in those years.

Chu Han left the building when it was safe. There was a loud voice from the back of window when he was going to get rid of zombies to go to the school gate----

”Chu Han! Chu Han! Help me! Here! Turn around!”

”s.h.i.+t, stupid!”
