1 Chapter 1: (2/2)
”Sure. It doesn't matter whether she dies or not.” Wyn shrugs, the once happiness in his eyes were covered with the true darkness of his soul. His betrayal hit my Luna hard which has only caused me to hate his entire existence.

”You kill her and I will murder you and anyone you've ever cared for, Wyn. If you touch any of the girls.” The a.s.sa.s.sin warns, but the threat didn't settle my hatred for either one of the men.
”Yes, sir.” He nods before walking off and nudging the cage that held me captive to follow along with him.
And that was it.
This was every day.
This was my life.
Every day I'd fight someone new to the death, attempt to kill some a.s.sa.s.sins, then get thrown back into my cage by Wyn. After that, I'd hear my Luna cry for her mate and the hold the little girl until she rests once again.
Every.
f.u.c.king.
Day.
I was ready to cause some chaos and agony to the b.a.s.t.a.r.ds here.
I was ready to give my life to protect the heir of my pack and my Luna.
I was ready to do anything in my power to comfort the little girl.
I was ready to accept anything for their safety.
And I was d.a.m.n ready to finally escape.
〰〰〰
I rubbed the little girl's back, giving her the little comfort I was able to while my Luna scratched off the wall once again. The wall having maybe twenty or more tally marks, revealing how long we've been trapped.
It upsetting to watch her eyes water up at the sight but I knew I couldn't offer my own comfort since I was doing what I could outside of the cell. At least, if they remained here I would know that they were both safe from their harm.
Thankfully the a.s.sa.s.sin in charge exchanged their safety for my sanity.
I was more than thankful.
”We have to get out here... They will end up killing us.” She says bravely when I nodded my head in agreement, but it's not like I haven't been trying that for the last few weeks.
”Yes, my Luna. I've been killing their forces off ever since we've come here. I am trying with all my strength.” I told her as she nodded this time and rubbed her belly.
Even though the pup has not made an appearance, I heard its small heartbeat within my Luna. I knew that she was worried about the pup's wellbeing.
I was as well.
Hence why I've given her all the food I've gotten to her.
My Luna will always come first.
”I'm scared.” She admits for the thousandth time while I sighed and laid the little girl on the rags on the ground. Her small body giving away at the sight of malnourishment but there was nothing I could other than watch her slowly grow more tired and hungry.
It was so painful.
So f.u.c.king painful.
”I am trying with everything to help you gain enough energy to teleport the both of you,” I told her as she gave me a look that was strange. Even for her.
”What about you?” She questions a little forceful while I sighed and stood up.
”You do not need to worry about me, my Luna. Worry for the child and the pup inside of you. I will not let you down once again.” I tell her calmly, turning away and leaning against the bars of our cell. ”I am not the same person as before. This place... is changing me. And not for the better.” I admit to myself for the first time.
I hated the fact that at the thought of causing someone harm or murdering another helpless victim, that it excited me...
I was beginning to grow more and more excited for these battles in the arena.
It that was the one thing that was starting to break my spirit.
”Nava...” My Luna spoke softly, getting to her feet and coming to my side. ”I will not leave you here. My mate will come for us and we will get out of here, both of us alive and well. Just have hope.” She pleads to me, her small hand squeezing my arm while I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
”It is hard. This place-”
”I know. But keep your faith. They will try everything to remove all of your morals and beliefs. Keep your head up. No one else can.” My Luna tells me softly as I shook her hand away from me and glanced over at her.
Her small body was malnourished as well, but not nearly as bad as myself or the child. The dirt and grime covered her body, making her red hair seem almost black like my own. It hurt to see her cheeks hollowed out, but I knew this was much better than what I looked like.
I didn't care about my wellbeing.
My Luna was my first priority.
The child my second.
Escape my third.
Then myself fourth.
A loud bang resonated from the far left making me pushed her behind me and glare at the on comers.
I will protect her with everything within me.
