2 Awakening (1/2)

Magna Opus, died at the tender age of 21 with a smile on his face. The reason? His time had come. From the first day he was born, he had been living on life support as his body was too weak to even move.

His parents? His father died in a car accident on the way while his mother died giving birth. They didn't even get to name their son.

An old and gentle doctor took it upon himself to cure the boy, pus.h.i.+ng his research to reach new heights. Thus, the doctor decided to name him 'Magna Opus', his final 'Masterpiece'.

Thanks to his help, Magna ended up living until he was 21, 16 extra years then what other doctors speculated.

Magna never once suffered over his lifetime, mostly being indulged instead. His adopted father, the kind old doctor, spoiled him by introducing him to the world of games and anime. However, not once did he act spoiled, only happy and grateful.

He spent years, watching all sorts of anime, reading all sorts of manga and playing all sorts of games. By the time he was 18, the hospital had created a room entirely for him that housed a ma.s.sive collection of anime, manga and games.

While he wasn't allowed to leave the hospital, the staff their all took pity on the young man and started giving him an allowance made from small portions of everyone's pay, allowing him to fuel his hobby. He never took their kindness for granted and always tried to reciprocate it in any way he could, whether it'd be a smile or a simple, ”h.e.l.lo, how's your day been?”

He continued living happily until his 21 birthday. The night of the same day, Magna quietly closed his eyes for the last time and peacefully pa.s.sed away as his heart had finally had enough. He didn't have a heart attack or a stroke, his heart just stopped beating entirely. It was a quick and painless death… at least, it should have been...

Snapping his eyes open, the first thing that comes into Magna's view is an extremely large crow attempting to dive bomb him.

Just as he was about to turn away, his body started moving on its own. Raising his hand towards the bird, Magna decided to trust his instincts as he grit his teeth and screamed, ”RASENGAN!!!” The signature move of Naruto Uzumaki, from the popular anime 'Naruto'.

To Magna's surprise, a sphere of light blue energy began to form above his palm. The sphere gradually started rotating until ripples of energy been pulsing off of it.

The next thing Magna knew, the giant bird had made contact with the sphere. Accompanied by a loud bang, the bird was sent spiralling away a couple feet before cras.h.i.+ng to the ground.

Before Magna could even twitch, he was suddenly a.s.saulted by a painful headache before falling unconsious.
