-1 The History Of Remnan (1/2)
The world of Remnant. For as long as anyone could remember, a viscous breed of monsters known as Grimm have roamed every inch of the world.
The sentient races of this world, deciding to no longer sit back and watch their people die, prayed to the G.o.ds to give them power.
The first G.o.d, a beautiful G.o.ddess of darkness, merely snorted at their selfish request before creating more and more grimm, in hope of stomping out every last being alive.
The second G.o.d, a handsome G.o.d of light and husband to the G.o.ddess of darkness, took an interest in these beings. Doing as any benevolent G.o.d would, he granted their request, bequeathing magnificent powers upon four young maidens.
The G.o.d knew his choice would decide the fate of many. So, in an attempt to find the right host, the G.o.d willingly reincarnated into the form of an old man in order to choose for himself.
Everyday, the old man would go out and seek maidens with kind and benevolent hearts yet always turned up empty-handed.
After years and years of searching, four sister's appeared before him. The old G.o.d merely glanced at the sisters before ignoring them while staring into s.p.a.ce.
The sisters felt awkward because of his actions but didn't leave and continued to watch the old man.
Time went by until one of the sisters couldn't stand it. The one who looked to be the oldest had a head of neatly styled white hair while wearing a neat and fitting blue and white gown. She walked up to the old man and gave him the advice of meditating.
When the old man asked her why, the eldest sister replied, ”Instead of sitting around doing nothing, I think you should meditate on your past and reflect on how you've lived. And to remember the things that made you happy.”
Though her tone was cold, the old G.o.d could feel her care and concern. Nodding, he closed his eyes and waited for the next sister.
The second sister, had a head of long green hair that was held together by a crown of flowers accompanied by a beautiful green dress. Unlike her sister, she left for a short while before coming back with a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables. She spent a short while planting them around the old man's house.
After she was done, she looked towards the old man with a smile and said, ”There! Now if you get bored and there's no one to talk to, you have a whole garden to keep you company.”
The G.o.d smiled at the girl before continuing to mediatate. The third sister, wearing black shorts and a white s.h.i.+rt that oddly complimented her long, fiery red hair, walked over to the old man and sat besides him.
After talking and joking around for awhile, the sister looked gentle at the old man and said, ”Once in awhile, you should walk around the forest, take a deep breath in and embrace the world. Both the negative and positive.”
As if they agreed about it before hand, the last sister, who looked to wear a plain orange dress and had short orange hair, sat beside her sister and said, ”And to be thankful for what you have. I'm sure there was something that you were glad to have kept, held or created.”
The old G.o.d quietly thought back on each of their words and actions, and smiled. He looked at the departing backs of the four sisters and granted them each the power of the seasons.
Each season granted immense power that were slowly governed by the deepest wish of the hosts heart. They had control over all of the elements yet had the most control over the one the host was most compatible with.
The first sister, the maiden of winter, ruled over ice and snow. The second sister, the maiden of spring, controlled the plants and earth. The third sister, the maiden of summer, commanded fire and heat. Lastly, the forth sister, the maiden of fall, guided the winds and lightning.
As time past, the maidens grew stronger and stronger. They, however, realised that they were not enough to save everyone.
Thus, without hesitation, the four maidens combined their powers and granted all sentient life with power, which came to be known as a 'Semblance'.
A semblance, was the power buried deep inside of a person that was fueled by a person's aura, the literal life-force that flowed through every living thing. People quickly found out about their newly gained powers and began fighting back the grimm.
