Chapter 47: The training (2/2)

After the classes were done the group of four headed to get some food once more, thankfully the morning's incident didn't repeat itself and Ed returned to his place with Suika. There he decided to rest for about an hour before heading out to the training room. Ed wanted to train his new monsters so he recalled Suika and got Raikou to overlook the training.

Ed summoned his three monsters who were now equipped with swords and started their training. Ed summoned his three swords and equipped them as well; he put Shusui in his mouth, Ame-No-Murakumo in his left and Muramasa in his right. It was Ed's first time using the Three-sword style.

”All three of you come at once. It's time to train” Ed's monsters had no combat experience since they were never out before. Ed decided it would be best to train them himself since his experience with swords could be said to be the best in this country.

The three monsters followed Ed's orders and attacked him, they all slashed at different places but Ed could easily read their movements without using any skills and blocked all three swords. The monsters were surprised and seemed like their pride suddenly moved them as they exerted more strength.

They kept slashing at Ed and every time it looked sharper and stronger, their evolution played a big role in this as they were smarter than usual monsters and their capability to learn was much higher. Ed was satisfied with their improvement since at one point they almost injured him, although he wasn't using his maximum abilities it was still a praiseworthy achievement for him.

After a while, they were exhausted and couldn't move anymore so Ed treated them to some food he had cooked before which they enjoyed a lot. Especially the Kobold, who seemed to enjoy meat more than the others. After they ate, Ed recalled them and summoned Suika. He got her to train her poison attack from a range while he sparred with Raikou.

Raikou could feel that Ed had gotten stronger once more and especially the threatening feeling he got from his three swords. The two went at it as usual with Ed using ranged magic slashes and Raikou countering with his speed and magic fireballs. This time Ed cornered Raikou by using a tornado that was strengthened with Ame-No-Murakumo and Shusui. Raikou got kind of annoyed of this and activated his lightning mode and the two kept going at it for about two hours.

After they were done, they cleaned up the place and left to sleep along with Suika. His next day would probably be more tiring was what Ed kept feeling as he was trying to sleep.
