Chapter 36: The disguise (2/2)

Ed made his way to the receptionist.

”I would like to sell monster corpses” Ed changed his speaking style and acted tougher, he also made his voice deeper.

”Eh? Ah, yes! Of course!” The receptionist was still in shock since Ed was just too mysterious at this moment but quickly asked Ed to follow him as in the procedures. Ed already experienced this before and followed him.

They got into a warehouse and before the receptionist could ask him how he would be bringing the monsters; Ed dumped three wyverns on the floor. It was the fire, earth and space ones. He kept the stronger ones to be sold when he was in disguise.

The receptionist was shocked, he had seen monster corpses but rarely did ones as strong as these would be brought out at once, he didn't even have the time to be surprised at Ed having an item box.

”I'll be getting someone who could appraise them better than me please wait for a moment” The receptionist left and it didn't even take a minute before he came back with a man who looked to be in his 50s.

”Sir I can see that there are two King establishment level 5 monsters and one Earth establishment level 1. That would be 10.000 gold coins in total, is that okay with you?” The man was being respectful to Ed since he couldn't see through his cultivation state.

”Yes, that should be alright.” In fact, that was even more than he expected. The space wyvern sold for a lot more than he expected.

Ed received the money and was about to leave when he was stopped by the elderly man.

”Sir, would you be interested in joining this guild? I'm the guild master of this branch and I can guarantee you wouldn't regret joining!” Ed was surprised that the guild master personally came to speak with him. But he already guessed people would try and bring him to their organizations, which is why he decided to use a disguise.

”I'm not interested” Ed spoke gave a short answer and left the guild immediately. He didn't give them a chance to try and persuade him.
