Chapter 37: The capital (1/2)

After Ed left the guild he started making his way to the inn. However, he didn't go directly he got to the inn and walked further beyond it. This was so that no one would associate Ed with his character in disguise.

When Ed got far enough according to his estimation, he activated Zero sign and rushed back to the inn using his top speed. This was to guarantee him that anyone that would be following him would be confused. The guild probably did send someone to check up on his identity as he was mysterious as well as suspicious.

Ed got close enough to his room's window and used a short teleport, it was almost time up for Zero sign and he wouldn't be able to use it. Ed quickly changed his clothes to his normal leather armor and summoned Suika. He was only staying in this city for one day so he would spend the day sightseeing like a tourist and leave early in the morning.

Ed left with Suika and acted as if he as sleeping in front of the innkeeper. He strolled around the city tasting the food and checking anything interesting, but to his disappointment, nothing was interesting to him. The food wasn't bad at all but it wasn't great either.

'Seems like it was the right decision not to stay here for too long' Ed wasn't regretting his decision. Ed got back to his room and spent his time practicing his KI control, he also gave Raikou the food he bought him and the latter was disappointed by it as well.

After practicing enough, Ed got to sleep even though it wasn't too late. He didn't eat dinner either as he didn't feel like he would enjoy it.

Next morning Ed had already prepared what he needed and was about to leave the inn. He paid his bill and left the city without wasting any more time. The next destination would be the capital which he needed to get to in about a week, give or take. Ed could get there in two days with Raikou's help so he decided to spend the rest of his time hunting or practicing.

As soon as Ed left the city, he activated the Map and was tweaking it to his needs. He erased any sign of blue or green dots and only left the red dots, his prey. He could see a lot of clusters of red dots and only a small amount of individual ones. Ed guessed the individual ones would be more powerful so he would need to be careful before engaging in battle with them.

He moved around the map and spent 6 days hunting everything he could hunt. He only stopped hunting either for food or to make potions and pills.

Ed was now level 17 after hunting so many monsters. He was now at the cultivation of a King Establishment. Raikou increased was Earth Establishment level 2; it wasn't much which showed just how hard it is to get to Heavenly Establishment. Suika was at level 14 and finally had her second evolution.

After being fed so many potions and plants Suika got the healing attribute and could now heal most minor injuries. The most severe injury she could heal was a deep slash wound Ed had gotten while fighting a mantis-like monster. Her poison also became even more toxic after Ed let her eat a poisonous snake, she became a toxic slime. Her poison would be a challenge even for Raikou if she could get to him.

Ed had improved some of his skills. His wind magic was now at full mastery, he improved enormously after successfully using a Rasengan-like technique that uses wind as the base instead of chakra. His Spectral Shadow steps were now at level 8 and his KI control had improved to the degree where he can use the destructo-disc, albeit not as strong. He could also fly freely in the sky but not at the insane speeds shown in dbz.
