What he did not expect was for Damien to come out of the car as well, and after circling the car, he came to stand next to him. Marcel looked at him in surprise since he hadn't expected him to come out of the car.

Damien looked at the very ordinary school in front of him. It was truly different from the school he had gone to. Even though it had been twenty years but the school was not able to compare at all. He did not even think that there were schools that looked like this.

”Is this where you studied?” Damien asked Marcel curiously.

”Mmh, though I hardly remember what happened during that time. I wasn't very studious you see” Marcel said as if he was talking about someone else. The bell that signalled the end of the school day rang and the kids in the school started running out.

Damien looked at Marcel who was searching for Liam for a few more seconds before diverting his gaze to the crowd of children who had been coming out of the school.

Suddenly he saw Marcel raise his hand and wave it to a certain direction before a small figure ran towards and jumped into Marcel's arms.

Marcel easily carried the boy who had wrapped his small arms around his neck while laughing happily. Damien finally saw Marcel with his guard completely down for the first time.

”Liam, you shouldn't forget to greet other people,” Marcel said and Liam pulled his head back to look at Marcel. Marcel looked at Damien and Liam followed his gaze. He had noticed the man standing next to his brother but he did not think that the two actually knew each other.

Damien's grey eyes met Liam's brown ones and they seemed to melt. He now understood why Marcel was particular about getting him out of the orphanage he hadn't been exposed to a lot of children so his resistance was just too low. Fortunately, he was able to school his expression before he embarrassed himself.

”This-” Liam asked as he looked at Marcel as if he was waiting for an introduction. Marcel pinched his nose playfully with a smile before he introduced them.

”This is Uncle Damien,” Marcel said with a straight face making Damien feel baffled.

”Uncle?” Liam asked Marcel and blinked his large brown eyes.

”Mmh, whenever you see him you have to greet him. He has helped me out a lot, okay?” Marcel explained briefly to Liam who turned to look back at Damien with eyes that were less cautious.

”Good afternoon Uncle Damien,” Liam said and smiled the dimples on his cheeks indenting deeply. Damien was speechless for a moment and Marcel noticed it as well. He knew his face had a high destructive power but Liam's should be stronger since he was still a child.

Damien helplessly laughed at himself and patted Liam's head he had to admit that the child was very cute and after meeting him he had unconsciously decided that he will try to get him out of the orphanage as soon as possible.

”Let's go,” Damien said as the three of them had drawn a lot of attention to themselves. Marcel nodded and opened the door to the backseat and helped Liam get inside.

He felt that it would be rude to sit in the backseat as well so he quickly fastened his seatbelt and went to the passenger's seat.

Damien got in the car and made eye contact with Liam through the rearview mirror and automatically smiled at the child.

Liam smiled back at Damien before he continued looking at the interior of the car. Damien shook his head as if to clear his thoughts before he turned on the car and left the school premises.
