42 Different Destructive Power. (1/2)

”Get in,” Damien said as he opened the backseat to put the briefcase he was carrying in the car.

Unlike the Aston Martin that he had seen him with before, Damien had driven a Range Rover to work this time. Marcel had been curious about how it would feel riding the car since he had seen them when he was commuting from the orphanage to the company and back.

Marcel quickly opened the door and got in the car. The seats were covered with leather and the car smelled just like Damien. He watched as Damien got in the car and closed the door before turning on the car and putting on his seatbelt.

”Seatbelt,” Damien said but did not wait for Marcel to react before he put the gear on drive and drove out of the parking lot. Marcel put on the seatbelt and continued looking at the sleek interior of the car.

”Your car is pretty awesome,” Marcel said as he felt the leather against his skin. Damien only smiled in response, he found the boy to be cute sometimes like a younger brother.

Marcel looked at Damien when he didn't hear a response from him and couldn't help but think to himself that the man seemed to look effortlessly cool.

Marcel said to Avian but this time Avian did not respond. Marcel did not take it to heart and watched how Damien was driving.

”Is it difficult to drive?” Marcel asked Damien since it seemed that Avian had decided to ghost him.

”No, it isn't. You want to learn?” Damien asked but did not take his eyes off his road.

”Yes, but what's the point. I need a car to be able to drive” Marcel said with a sigh. Damien chuckled but did not say anything and continued to drive.

”Why are you good to me?” Marcel asked.

”Hmm?” Damien responded in slight confusion.

”You know the contract, the manager, the car rides as well” Marcel pointed out the things that Damien had done for him.

”Is it a problem?” Damien asked.

”I'm not complaining. I just want to know what you're expecting from me” Marcel said honestly. He knew that Damien had been very accepting of his requests, especially with the help he promised he would give regarding Liam's issue. He also knew that there was no such thing as a free lunch.

”Hehe,” Damien chuckled but did not say anything. Marcel also did not press the issue since Damien was not obligated to answer him.

”I'm expecting a lot from you. You have a lot of potential, and it would be in your best interests not to disappoint me” Damien said a few minutes later.

”Disappoint you?” Marcel asked. He had no intentions of asking Damien to stop his special treatment. He knew he would need it if he wanted to make a smooth transition from modelling to acting.

Unfortunately, Damien did not explain himself further. Rather than say that he did not want to explain himself it was more of not being used to explain himself.

He would only say something if he felt like doing so. After getting a silent response for the second time, Marcel realised that that was just how his character was.

After the short-lived conversation, the car finally pulled up in front of the school gates. Marcel sighed in relief when he saw that they still had five minutes until classes ended. Marcel got out of the car and stood outside the passenger's door.
